The biggest challenge of my life

I've decided to go 2 weeks without any drugs whatsoever, no pot, no alcohol, no cigarretes.

I've been smoking pot every night for a few months now, smoking about half a pack a day, and drinking at least a couple of beers most days.

I don't know how well this test of strength is going to go, wish me luck.

The beer and pot is gone.

Now I just have to take care of the cigs, get all of the temptations out of my place.

Try getting conventional lollipops, they work. My grandmother who had been smoking for years used them to cure herself of the addiction within a couple of weeks.

Try and keep busy as well. Better to have your mind on something else.

I suggest being careful not to trade one addiction for another, as so many people seem to do.

My advice would be that since you've been so successful so far, I'd stick with the ciggies for a while as something to 'fall back on'. When you're sure you're not gonna be tempted back to pot or booze, then start on the fags (British for cigarettes)

I've been thinking about this, I think that pot has to go cold turkey, since that's my biggest addiction.

Since I use pot to help me forget about my problems, I'll wean myself off it with booze, then wean myself off that with cigs, and then hopefully quit everything for a while.

Good job! And a good plan as well. Get rid of the worst one first. Seeing someone starting to get their life on track makes my day.

You should try this:

Every time you need to smoke, only do one puff per cigarette. Keep doing this until you don't have to smoke. Do this everytime you have to smoke. You'll have to carry around a lot of packs, and it'll cost you a lot of money. Eventually you'll just have to stop because it will cost you way too much money. Also, chew on toothpicks, I heard that works.

Hope you can quit.

Now add the 40 days 40 nights challenge and see how quickly you end up in the nut house...

When I took the bar exam, I was locked in a room for four hours at a time. Very Stressful - no smokes. Altoids got me through it. Try them.
