Who is the better debater... The better "Fact-Bringer".... The better of the Two...? 8)

O'reilly is probably the better debater due to his belligerent and condecending nature. But on the other hand I would probably bet on O'Franken. Good facts with humour would probably win out.

As has been demonstrated Reilly doesnt deal with franken very well.

Al Franken is a comedian and political satirist who was on the show "Saturday Night Live" for a number of years.

Bill O'Reilly is a whiny blowhard who won a Polk award and tried to pass it off as a Peabody. He is also thin skinned and will not listen to anything but his own voice.

No, O'Reilly never said he won a Peabody, He said the show he used to be on did. I would watch O'Reilly anyday, he is honest and very straight forward and fair.

O'Reilly was busted so hard on that it wasn't even funny. I've seen the transcripts--he's said it more than once and ever since he got called out about it at the Book Expo last year and his credibility took a major hit, he's been nothing but a whiny little bitch about it.

Do I know you?

I won't change my mind, He admitted on his show that it was his former show, and that is the only time he mentioned it. So you give it up.

Do I know you?
Perhaps not--let me introduce myself. I'll be the one giving you the intellectual head-slapping tonight.

O'Reilly was an anchor for a tabloid show named Inside Edition. A year after they kicked him to the curb and substantially upgraded their news gathering operation, they won a Polk Award. Read carefully--a year after O'Reilly was gone. So for him to lay claim even to the Polk award is dubious at best.

But on more than one occasion, he claimed to have won, not a Polk, but a Peabody award. That's broadcasting's equivalent of the Pulitzer. They don't get bigger. O'Reilly's never even gotten a sniff at a Peabody. You know who has? Teri Gross of NPR, the reporter/broadcaster who was interviewing O'Reilly when he decided to throw a hissy fit.

One last point. I don't care if I change your mind--believe what you wish. Just don't think that you'll get away with that kind of crap around here.

How many Pulitzer prize winners were found to be frauds? More than the Nobels. We commit a fraud, we go to jail. Journalists commit fraud they get a prize. It's free speech.
