If you lived in a state, with thousands of miles of coastline....surrounded by water on three sides.....lots of swampland, or wetlands....and more lakes, rivers, creeks and streams than you could shake a stick at....

In the summertime..you'd get a lot of humidity, wouldnt you?

You bet your ass you would.

Today the temperature his 90 degrees F..not so bad you think?

Couple that with 100% percent humidty....and it FEELS like over 100 F.

Thats frickin hot..and muggy......

Exactly the same here, my apartment building is roasting.

And our crappy air-conditioner sounds like an airplane in our living room.

Sounds like heaven--I grew up in Louisiana and the summers are very similar. My g/f is from south Florida, and she misses it too.

In other news, I had to wear a jacket when I went out today--it's June and the high today was 62 degrees. The upside is that it'll be like this in December as well.

California's pretty hot too.

Just the other day my right pinkie finger melted off. Thankfully, I saved the goop and formed it back on. It just isn't the same though.

I live in Michigan.

In the winter..we freeze.
In the summer...we roast.

The only truly nice seasons here are Spring and Fall.

Theres a saying in Michigan...

Oh, and I just love to freak out the locals who say it's awful humid. I just tell them about Houston heat and humidity. (Grew up 'bout an hour south of Houston.)

You don't know hot until you're in a place where it's 114 in the shade, with 100% humidity.

The terrain is almost completely rocks, with a couple of shrubs you can crawl underneath if you're desperate for shade.

Now, do hours upon hours of field work in that place.

I suffered from pretty severe heat stroke.

If it were in a desert it wouldn't have been that bad, less humidity.

We were alongside I think the mediterannean sea, maybe an offshoot of it.
