Man Charged With Chalupa Assault

Jun 8, 4:05 PM (ET)

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - A man who claimed he didn't get the taco he paid for has been charged with assault for allegedly pelting a Taco Bell clerk in the face with a chalupa.

Nancy Harrison told police she was working the drive-through Thursday night when Christopher Lame, 24, ordered some food.

He later came into the store, complaining he didn't get the taco he had ordered, police records say. Harrison said that when she asked for a receipt, he went back to his car and brought back the bag.

Harrison said she told him the store was closing, and as she turned away, a chalupa hit her in the face near her right eye. She said she ran into the parking lot and took down the license number as the motorist was driving away.

Lame was identified through the license number.

He is scheduled to appear in court June 15.

All I have to say is, the man ain't guilty... What the hell can you do if the dumbass gets you the wrong taco... then hassles you for a reciept and then turn her back on you and says oh I'm sorry we're closing... You don't get a replacement...

Damn... some people...

I would have ground Taco Bell's "Fire Sauce" into her eyes.

Deny ME my taco will you?

Yes, the lady could have been more helpful. I mean, they did make a mistake. On the other hand, he did assault her. Mabye the lady brought it on herself, but he did assault her. That is indisputable.

It probably is dispitqable... He maybe threw a napkin at her and then she claimed that it was a chalupa just to get back at him... I mean the witnesses were very reliable... probably all just coworkers...

Haha, thats almost as great as when some lady bludgeoned her boyfriend to death with her IPod MP3 player after he deleted 20 gigs of songs off of it. But I'd say this guy is guilty for not eating the chalupa anyways....a taco is a taco....delicious in every way.

I'm sure they either have the chalupa as evidence, or they found smidges of nacho cheese and sour cream all over her face.

He threw a frickin soft taco at her.....thats hardly assult.
You cant really argue intent to harm, with a soft taco.

This lady was being a bitch.

What the hell is one taco, to shut up a customer to her?
Its not like shes paying for the damn taco....the customer payed for someting, and got something else....she decided to be a bitch, and ignored the fact that the customers keep her in a crappy job.

Should he be made to apologize for throwing the taco?

Yes.

But he should also be entitled to the right frickin taco.

He threw a fucking taco. why is that defined as assault when he had just cause to? I mean, she practically ignored his request to get his service.

My point exactly... and I'd like to see some convincing proof that the chalupa was indeed thrown by the suspected assailant.

There's nothing funny about this entire matter...

Why you ask?

That's because there's nothing funny about murder... by chalupa!

That's right, what the article doesn't say is the Taco Bell clerk... is....

the taco that he already paid for
She should at least lose her job...not by the law, but by Taco Bell...they don't want people to think that they approve of their employees behaving in such a manner
