It seems that some people are so willing to believe that President Bush is mind-numbingly stupid that they're glad to spread and laugh over even the most ludicrous stories. Many of which are simply not true.
For instance, Bush did not wave at Stevie Wonder (http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/bush.asp#bushwave), or "read" a book upside down (http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/bush.asp#bushbook), or have the OMG LOWEST IQ EVAR (http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/bush.asp#presiq). I've even heard sayings (such as, "The bondage between mother and child is truly something to behold", which is nearly ten years old and was originally attributed to Dan Quayle) attributed to Bush.
Unfortunately for Republicans, however, the man does tend to butcher the English language. (http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/piehigher.asp)
