I am personally sick of all the preteen boys here who post threads that disgustingly objectify women. For the love of God, there was once a time when men respected women.

I completely fail to see the point of them all: there is a whole internet out there filled with that kind of stuff if people want to go looking for it. There seems to be very little discussion of anything in those threads, which seems to also put them beyond the ambit of the General forum (..."for discussion of anything and everything").

If I wanted to spend my time looking at anoxerics that all look the same there are plenty of places I could go instead of here.

And yes, I have looked through some of those threads, but only to amuse myself at how sad the posters on them are.

Edit: Should we start a thread called "Attractive spark plugs from your country", post endless 2MB pictures of spark plugs, and see how long it is before that would get locked as spam?

Yeah, because getting into a debate with you is what drives all of my comments...

I think picture threads like that should be banned. It's excessive, and it eats up more bandwidth tham text-spam threads.

Those threads do have the advantage that we can tell who is a pubescent boy controlled by hormones and unable to think logically if a girl is involved, and hence we can ignore those people accordingly...

But seriously, they damage the reputation of the game (or at least the General forum, if it had a reputation to damage :?), making it sound like a cross between a Gentleman's Club and a teenage porn party...

sexist? i dont get it. How can posting pictures of women be sexist? They're not harming anyone. Make a thread full of pictures of guys/whatever you're attracted to or dont look at them if they piss you off that much. I dont see the attraction either when the whole internet is full of them but i dont think they should be frowned upon.

and i dont think they use up much bandwidth as the pictures are only linked to, not stored on this server.

While a lot of guys do treat girls like dirt, I have also seen a lot of girls go for those guys, while completely ignoring "nice guys."

It's not about how they treat them so much as how they think of them to begin with. That is what breeds the way they treat them. I sometimes think my grandfather's generation thought of women as nice to have around, but not somebody you'd share your thoughts with. More like a farm animal, something with a purpose, to wash your clothes and wait on you, have your children, but not really someone who had thoughts and opinions of her own.

It's gotten to the point now where men seem to have narrowed that opinion down even more, to the point where they don't think of women as people so much as things, not even like grandpa, thinking of us as pleasant pets. Hell, even then, porn exhibited some semblance of taste, if you can call it that. Now it seems that we're thought of more as living blow-up dolls. If that's progress, I'd rather have the men of yesteryear, because even if it wasn't much better, we were treated with respect, and we weren't expected to do all that and earn a paycheck while they stayed at home to lay in bed until 1 in the afternoon too.

pictures of models only objectify models. They sdon't objectify women.

although I don't understand how it can objectify women....they voluntarily pose for photos, I'm sure they expect people will look at them :?

MEN, yes, but do you seriously expect 'pre-teen boys' to understand about respect for women?

Models aren't women then? Also, they get paid to model, and the world being the way it is, there's a market for it. Just because it's wrong doesn't mean that women won't take advantage of the situation if they can.

It seems sad to me that so many people would climb so high upon the moral high ground that they cannot see the truth :Boys like to look at girls. Simple. There is no evil intent, no subjegation of the female sex, nothing sinister.

Hey, come on. it's no great surprise that men like looking at pictures of nude women; they like it even if they're getting it all the time. it would be weird if they didn't (unless they're looking at pictures of nude men instead, or sheep, or something).

The thing is, a post all about half naked guys would receive very different comments. Most likily at LEAST one guy would flame it by going "Gayyyyy" or something of that nature.

Am I tired of threads that are sexist? Haven't seen any. Am I tired of threads with pics of women? No, because I don't bother looking at those threads. Problem solved.

actually, i am just tired of women bitching about things like this. if you lower yourself to be bothered by what some sexually-confused teenage boys think of you then you demean women in general by doing so. if you honestly don't have better things to worry about than what some faceless moron on the internet thinks of your gender then you really are confirming all the negative things people say about women; women really are weak, needlessly emotional, attention-desperate, and dependent on males for their self worth.

the only reason sexism exists is because women allow it. if women simply refused to have sex with men who were jerks then there would be no more jerks in the world (heterosexual ones, anyway). but women hook up with jerks, marry jerks, and raise little jerk babies with their absentee jerk daddies.

when women stop acting like second-class humans i will start standing up for them, but until then i think they deserve their place as second-class citizens.

Haha this is why I started my gag thread of 'HOT PICS CLICK HERE!!' I got so many morons to look at it and all they had was a message of "HAHAH MADE YOU LOOK!!"

Well, okay please someone explain to me how pictures of women objectify women...
