I'm 19 years old, too young to remember the funeral proceedings of Richard M. Nixon in 1994, so, to watch on television the step-by-step funeral proceedings of Ronald Reagan is a bit overwhelming.

I am an avid supporter of the United States. I am a proud American. I may not agree with every politician or party, but I do support our country with all that I can.

When I heard thew news of Reagan's passing, I sat in awe. It didn't hit me until the next day that this is the first President to pass during my lifetime that I can actually follow, understand, and watch as it all happens.

It's overwhelming and surreal to me.

Perhaps, it's just me. I am intrigued by the outpour of emotion (good and bad) towards Reagan, I am intrigued by the coverage of the processions, and I an intrigued by the respone of the American public.

I watched Reagan's private service in Simi Valley, CA today on MSNBC (as it was being covered on most major networks.

Wow. That's all I could say, and all I can say to all this pomp and circumstance in the rememberance of the passing of President Reagan.
