ROUND 2 BRACKET 3 (Modern Warfarel)

Okay here's how the voting goes. Since the polls can easily be manipulated this is the voting system we will use:

If you post your vote with a nation of 75 posts or more, that vote counts as two. The poll votes count as 1. Technically your vote can be counted as three votes, if you vote both in the poll and post what you voted for.

However, even with this system in place this entire poll can be easily manipulated. So I ask you, please don't... Let's not cheat shall we?

Also, I'd like arguements from both sides on why that particular band (in this case, either Tool or Coldplay) should win. So please feel free to post long paragraphs regarding the merits of either Tool or Coldplay.

Coldplay is so much better than Tool.

Tool is infinitely better than any other band. There's just no comparison. Not to say that Coldplay is bad, but it's like comparing that smart kid in your physics class to Kip Thorne.


Tool videos are cool with the original music. To get them to make sense, hallucinogens are necessary.

Tool has a sound that is a turn off for the first time you hear a song. The next few times its ok and the more you listen you love it. Just give "parabola" "schism" or "stinkfist" a good listen. They rock it hard thats for sure. Maybe that is why some people would prefer the sound of Coldplay who sound like elevator music to me. Where have all the metal heads gone? Why doesn't anyone want to rock out anymore? Anyway my vote obviously goes to Tool.

Tool isn't pure metal... It might be considered partially metal... but in my humble opinion calling Tool metal is like calling Korn metal.

Well the Dead Kennedys are gonna be in Round 4 of The Land of the Past... The Misfits did not make it since they didn't get the required two nominations.

Musician ship--- Coldplay-good stuff. Tool-God like (i dont beleive in god, but its freaking awsome)
Listenability--- Coldplay- good background music, yea i guess you can tap your foot to it. Tool- If you know what you listening to it is some of the best stuff in the world. If not then i guess its like trying to listen to morse code, just doesnt make sense.
Technicality---Coldplay- hard if you are a begining guitar player Tool- some of the masters cant keep pase with Danny, Maynard is more unique than the Coldplay guy, and the guitar stuff although for the most part not EXTREMELY hard, it is harder than CPs stuff (remember: for the most part)
Showmanship--- I have never seen CP live, but thier videos are boring as crap. If you have seen Tool live than i would be surprised if any othe band compares.

See this folks? This is what I REALLY hate about Tool. Their fans. I love their videos. Haven't seen one in awhile, but I remember 'after hours' on mtv would play them, oh, about 8 years ago. Intereting...

Tool gets on my nerves. I much prefer Coldplay's sound, and I think they resemble Radiohead in their wistful melodies. It's not easy listening, but it's not something that's going to appeal to the pop crowd too much either.

Tool is good, but in my opinion Coldplay is an amazing very talented band, and is the winner. (I must admit, I am biased, seing as me and the band Im in is practically a Coldplay cover band, with half of the songs we know Coldplay :D )

No, it was nothing personal. It was aimed at the 15 year old kids who think they're smarter than me because they listen to Tool...

I understand...I will admit that Tool has some pompus fans, something about them seems to make people that way. They are one of those bands that you either love or hate. I have also found that more often than not it is other musicians that are on the love side of the page.
