hey i love capitalism because now that my son has graduate high school im planning to devote my time to developing a business that will make me "rich"

Depends on the sense of humor of the author. Problem is, I'm not an anti-capitalist. :? Oh well, I'll squat here till my joints freeze in place if I have to.

I love capitalism because without it I wouldn't have a monster pc.

(Communism will work when we can have everything we want, without it having an effect on anyone else. I won't get my monster pc, because I don't "need" it. With capitalism, I get it for my christmas!)

i don't know man, but there's a thread around here somewhere claiming that squatting is part of capitalism. so even if it's not against the rules, it might make us into capitalists

If you love capitalism, you are either really good at screwing people over, have inherited a large fortune, or are one of those sad deluded souls who buy lottery tickets and dream the Amaerican nightmare. Capitalism is organized crime. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you dont like capitalism you are either lazy and want someone to do work for you while you are on welfare or are a communist

the story that it links to is about a bunch of people who live in the slums of nairobi getting the government to agree to stop bulldozing their squatted homes. it fails to mention the tension between usually-absentee structure owners (squatting landlords, who knew?) and their tenants. or the fact that new plan came down mostly on the side of the tenants - taking away the 'property' of those slumlords.

i have no problem of the wealth part, but the certain ways of getting that wealth are obscene to me.

Capitalism is great because it rewards people with ideas and abilty with money and power or if your stupid and have no ability you have no power or money which makes you work harder or go on welfare and welfare is wrong it should not be there it rewards lazieness

Except welfare is a socialist concept.

Welfare needs to die, education in my opinion is a greater equalizer and therefore needs all of welfare's funding.
