Nothing really, just an alliance at the moment springs me to the regional headquarters of that alliance. I then always move eventualy, months later, but I still move.

Ah yes, activity does help lots. If you don't do anything as a region/alliance, don't organize an army, political structure, or something to bind the region historically then there really isnt anything much you can do, that is, to keep people from leaving.

The first region I was in was wonderful, it was called "SYM", and everyone there was close to everyone else and just seemed to keep laughing. They had no alliances, no outside ties or anything, but it was just fun.

Lack of a founder and political turmoil keeping delegate UN endorsements low. Funny people are also a plus.

What's a region?

In my opinion, that is the exception, not the norm. Most regions are political organizations, I think, unless it is for one nation school/other forum/whatever pals. Other than those odd exceptions, most seem to be alliances.

regeon anarchy in which carlemnaria resides is united in
recognition of the gratuitousness of standing hierarchies
in all else the members of this regeon are diverse.
carlemnaria itself has by 'the game' been called every form of
government on the list
(or at least quite an amazing diversity of them),
few of which make any great deal of sense, but that's just basicly the way this game goes or seems to.

why did we move there? because it felt and still feels like home.

other nations will hopefully find and move to regeons which they feel
to be populated likemindedly with themselves.

regeons on nation states, and thanx to this internet, in the
mundane world as well, need not be geographicly contiguous.

we in carlemnaria look forward to a world in which each village in
virtual walking distance of each other will subscribe to it's own
idiologies and ways of life while being prohibited only from restricting the movement of anyone
into or out of them who might wise to live in totaly different cultural contexts until each individual person finds the particular place the feels 'right' and 'like home' to themselves personaly

I look for fun people that I know. I couldn't find many of them in the same region so I made my own. And invited my friends to it.

I've never been in the UN, so I joined a region with a couple of friends off general.
