How long does it take after you make a nation before you receive a telegram from another nation inviting you to their region?

The Answer:
1.5 minutes

Just gotta love how fast some people work, don't you. Made a nation for myself, logged onto it, and I had three telegrams waiting for me. Allow me to say that it becomes increasingly clearer to me each time I use the internet that there are people with no lives that can sit around all day long on the internet and send out invitations to every new nation that enters the picture. We don't need this harassment. Most of the new people coming into nationstates are people that were invited by friends and they already have regions they want to go to. If you want to invite people to come to your region, do so irl. Seriously, get out there and tell your friends to come to your region instead of wasting your lives in front of the computer. I mean, at least you will meet new people out there while doing the invitations. Prove me wrong. Well, anyway, I better stop taking up your precious invitation time. Proceed and good luck.

There's your problem. These people do not have friends.

You see these "telegrams" are automatic and will be delivered regardless. This simply means you actually have to write one telegram and post it to all users...Simple.

I'd say that people who say others have no lives have no lives of their own, but then I'd only be insulting myself.

I send out a lot of regional recruiting telegrams, but I am hardly on "all-day." I usually do one round in the feeder regions when I wake up in the morning and one at night; I usually do it in the background, too, meaning I'm doing something else while I do it.

Currently, I'm waiting for a ruling on recruiting telegrams... but in the meantime, I still recruit as it's been the most viable way for me to get nations to come to my region.

I'm sorry to say, but that's what inboxes are for, for receiving messages whether you want them to be there or not.

Huh? What's a life? Is that like posting but with your voice?

heh. I didn't even know you could send a message to more than one nation at a time as a telegram. I honestly thought those poor people were on all day long, innocently awaiting the next idiot that made a nation to log on, just sitting there with a little maniacal laugh and a grin on their face, triumph lighting their features as they saw their next victim. lol.

Where are you moving to? some weirdo Anne Rice region where you all post in black? Wait... DAMN!

I applaud you on your use of Anne Rice in the previous message, however, I would simply like to say that the color 'black' has no connection to Anne Rice whatsoever. Also to be noticed, most people who change colors of font do so to gain a personality that they don't think they can obtain within what they write. I go for plain black myself simply because I am too lazy to change my font. You say my arrogance has led me to give the message up there? My arrogance only led me a part of the way. I know my place as a newbie and I stick with it. I was merely saying something pertaining to the nature of the environment, a casual observation. ...ya know, when I read the above, it makes me sound like a complete arrogant @$$hole. No intention whatsoever of that.

Well it's because they target nations in the Pacific. I remember the days I got so many of those telegrams. If you don't want them, here's how.

Found your own region and get a few nations there so they don't think you'd wanna leave. That's the only common sense they have.
