Forgive me if a thread has already been created on this topic but there are some anomolies on the Berg video which were brought to my attention that I am unable to explain.

* If you notice the time at the beginning of the video it is approximately 2:45. A few seconds later it then jumps to 13:45.

* The execution is performed by a man in a black hood. When the execution is finished a man wearing a white hood lifts the head up.

* As the man holds up the head, the time goes to 2:46 for a moment then back to 13:48.

I would appreciate if someone could offer me an explanation.

Quite honestly, does it really matter??? I've heard a few conspiracy theories about it, that the video was faked, but honestly, so what if it was. The fact remains that the man is dead, his body was found beheaded. I would think that this was the important part.
What the video shows, really, is kind of moot.

S/he isn't saying "OMG!!! The American CIA killed him!!!111!!!", s/he is just pointing out discrepencies within the original footage and asking if anyone has an possible explaination.

I am a surgeon in real life, and yes, I have seen the video. Did anyone notice there was not much blood flowing from the neck wound? Believe me, cut off a live mans head and everyone within a 5 metre radius would be splashed with blood (several gallons worth). I can say with some certainty that this poor chap had been dead for several hours (impossible to say how long, but certainly more than an hour) before he was decapitated.

If you watch the hi - res vid you will see copious amounts of fluids...

Some wierd website I was on that I put no faith in was claiming that Kodak had determined the "digital fingerprint" of the Nick Berg video matched the "digital fingerprint" of the camera used to videotape the prison abuses. This sounded like bunk to me and I was surprised to hear they could do this sort of thing without having the original copies of both tapes. Anyone know anything about this?

1 US gallon = 3.7854118 liters

and

1 Imperial gallon = 4.54609188 liters

As opposed to metric "centimetres, metres, kilometres etc".

I never was able to get the video to run and, of course, they don't show it on national TV, but I've seen pieces of it in still form, and read about parts of it on the internet (sites that, as always, can be taken with a grain of salt, or not, as the viewer chooses).

All I know is, from what I've heard, something doesn't quite add up.
It is tragic if someone dies.

The thing that gets me is that, if we have to go along lines of conspiracy theories, Nick Berg is wearing the orange jumpsuit a la Guantanamo Bay.
Some have suggested that the chairs and general surroundings are similar to Abu Ghraib prison, but those chairs could be the usual "made in China" brand of chair, and thus ubiquitous, and prison walls tend to look similar.
But the Orange Jump-suit? I don't know.
And the video showing in it some piece of US military uniform (a hat, I believe, although it could be a corner of a jacket).
Like I said, it may be true, it may be not. All I know is what I've said already : (a) it's tragic when someone dies and (b) something doesn't add up.

Any got a link to where we can see the video? I havnt found it. (that could be from my lack of effort though)

Not that this is an explanation, but people know how to edit tapes only to show parts that aren't incriminating to them. Perhaps, this is a clear case of that?
