how short is too short?
in terms of skirts.
i found a dress in my closet that i had for the longest time. since i've grown considerable since i got it, it's a little short. but it's fun nonetheless.
it's 10 inches above my knee, but it covers 8 inches of my thigh still...
i don't consider it too short, but my mom does.
what do you guys think? how short does a skirt have to be before it is too short?

Like I said, too short depends on who's wearing it. From a guy's view at least.

It depends on your standards, and how you want to be portrayed. Ultimately, if you can't even walk without showing off your underwear... that's way too short :P

Too short is when you are no longer comfortable wearing it in public. Then it is too short. but if your comfortable with it your happy and so is everyone else. no harm done.

I don't know, my knee is like 4 inches...so if you mean from the very top....I don't know...I wear short skirts...so I guess I'm just...biased in a way...
anyway, the best way to measure is probably the inseam (nevermind that skirts don't have them) because that's what you're really hoping to cover up...either way, I doubt it's too short, if it covers 10 inches of thigh...how old are you?

i'm 20. and well, if you're counting from the bottom of the knee, then that makes sense for calling 8 inches above medium.
my skirt actually covers 8 inches and is 10 inches from my knee.
i wasn't asking so much because of my mom but more for everyone's opinions... i don't really give a damn what my mom thinks.
and how is showing off a little leg slutty? it's more fun than anything. just 'cause you can't stand to see parts of the female body exposed doesn't mean those who would allow them to be seen are sluts.
