There is a brand new anarchist message board just opened, which includes anarchist essays, pamphlets, websites and news services. It has a 'new to it all' section so for people interested in anarchism or arent really sure what it is, come and sign up and ask your questions.
Equally if you are an anarchist or you do know what it is come and talk about the future anarchism has, the flaws and the improvements.
It is open to all but bare in mind it was made for anarchists...
Come, post, and be merry

looks pretty good
You're going to summon an un-godly amount of trolls this way, but interesting none the less. I do enjoy a well informed discussion/debate.

I'll take the author's advice, and ask a question about anarchy's future. What do anarchists see as their future? Will there be a country that falls into anarchy anytime soon? Do anarchists have a plan as to how they'll demonstrate their policies?

Freedom and equality my ass. Your moronic nation of anarchists would just quickly turn into the age-old fiemdom. There's another word for anarchy: Barbarism.

I don't know. As a movement they have been in a rut. No country has embraced anarchy totally and it looks like they never will.

Exactly. I think that anarchy has been a total failure because it defies human nature. The only way to make anarchy successful is to either a.) depopulate the world so that humans are few and far in between, or b.) grow out of human nature.

well, what anarchists are doing now is organizing. we're organizing our workplaces, either with our own unions or while working to transform the capitalist unions into bottom-up federations instead of top-down hierarchies. we're organizing community projects such as homes-not-jails and other squatting movements to highlight the injustice of having cities filled with both abandoned buildings and homeless people, and food-not-bombs to feed the hungry, and projects like copwatch to hold the police accountable for their crimes, and tenants unions to help allow people's voices to be heard. we setup and run co-ops and collectives doing everything from playing music to publishing and distributing a huge collection of books to prison education and outreach programs to squatting abandoned buildings to build living space and community centers. we're also at least partially behind a good chunk of the protests you see these days. because of all this, we're in the middle of a huge growth-spurt in the anarchist movement. and we've got people who wouldn't identify as anarchists organizing in anarchist ways.
as for a plan for the future, it basically goes that we'll keep organizing and propagandizing and establishing directly-democratic bottom-up methods of collective decision making as the norm in all areas of collective life, until we are strong enough to win. and when we are strong enough there will be no stopping us, because it means that a majority of people will have rejected the legitimacy of the state and capitalism and hierarchy in general.
my personal mid-range plan is to get together with some other people and create a builder's collective - essentially a business of carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc. run in an anarchist fashion. because while we are building the support needed to be strong enough to fire the bosses, we all need to get experience running our lives and workplaces without them.

Always.
By its very nature, anarchy must be formless. Anarchic mods? anarchic admins? wouldn't work ...

I concur. Anarchy can't work as a form of government; there is no form, and there is no government. Who would keep order in your supposedly "free" nation? With no fear of consequences, ordinarily normal people would commit acts they wouldn't think of in an orderly society. Chaos would ensue. But I guess that's what you idealistic morons want, huh?
but bare in mind
Bear. BEAR!! Get it ****ing right! It's not that hard!
Sorry.

anarchy is a wondefully idealistic notion actually...aside from neo-anarchists hung up on violence, most anarchists are devout pacifists...i still don't see how somebody could expect a nation to function under the principle of no principles...even the land of Oz had a wizard to govern it...of course none of what i just said has anything to do with anything.
looks interesting

anarchism means 'no rulers', not 'no rules'.
order would be arrived at from the bottom-up through the various federated organizations that made up the collective aspects of society. community assemblies, workplace collectives and syndicates, communes, and the federations that they form together.
