I mentioned this on another thread, and it got remarkably little play.

By the way, Texas backed down, thus preserving the separation of church and state--the separation, I might point out, that protects churches from state interference. You might remember that next time you spout that little platitude about "freedom of religion, not freedom from religion." Freedom of religion means the federal government can't claim you're not a church because the head of the government doesn't believe the way you do.

I dislike the thought processes of socialists, communists, maxists, and others who do not understand how closed markets stiffle innovation and enslave working people it is supposed to help with with high taxes for government programs that either don't work or could be handle by private organisations like the Red Cross.

I tend not to like people who cannot comprehend that capitalism has brought them great affordable products like Microwaves, Cell Phones, CDs/DVDs, TV, the computer they are using, most medical procedures and medicine, and millions of inventions every day that make like better.

I tend to grow frustrated with people who do not see that it is the entrepreneur who makes the lives of the working class and the poor better everyday.

It has been my experience these people who fall back on unsupport claims that others are not openmind, tend to be largely close minded to the idea of open economies and flat tax rates.

Food for thought: North Korea is the closest furfillment of communism as Marx envisioned it while South Korea is capitalist. Apart from that these countries are pretty much the same: Roughly the same size, same enviornmental conditions and same natural resources, same race of people, etc.

Which has better living conditions for its citizens as a result? Which is more innovative and has been continually improving the quality of living for it's citizens? It's South Korea, and the capitalists who work, live and build their dreams there. Which country has a horrible standard for living, where the government restricts political and social freedoms to hold control over the economy? North Korea.

As for what I hate... both political extremes. Useful idiots with hammer-and-sickle shirts who think the deaths of tens of millions don't discredit their ideology, and neo-Nazi scum. I particularly hate Holocaust deniers, because they won't even engage in facts. A Holocaust denier is basically someone who says "the Nazis didn't kill millions of Jews... but they should have 'cause those Jews had it coming. And if I had my way, we'd finish what the Nazis started--I mean, never started, yeah." At least have some intellectual integrity and back the atrocities the Nazis committed; think about it, if your idol Hitler were alive today, he'd be furious that you deny his only real accomplishment. Holocaust deniers are like people who admire firefighters, but deny firefighters ever put out fires.

I can give you one from two weeks ago--the ACLU threatened action against the state of Texas because they had removed the tax exemption from the Unified Unitarian Church because the state felt it didn't have a single statement of belief or doctrine. I mentioned this on another thread, and it got remarkably little play.

By the way, Texas backed down, thus preserving the separation of church and state--the separation, I might point out, that protects churches from state interference. You might remember that next time you spout that little platitude about "freedom of religion, not freedom from religion." Freedom of religion means the federal government can't claim you're not a church because the head of the government doesn't believe the way you do.
Being as I am a member of the Unitarian Church, and a Texan...I can vouch for this story.
True, folks. Texas tried to take away OUR tax exemption, because we do not have a central "creed" (read: dogma.)
We are a liberal, open, welcoming, and loving religious community. Which is why I retain my membership in the Unitarian Church in spite of my own conversion to Christianity, and I now consider myself to be a Unitarian Christian. and I'm not alone in this in the Unitarian Church. Many of us ARE Christians. We just have a much different interpretation, a more loving, forgiving, tolerant, and understanding interpretation...than most modern-day Christians have. And we base this interpretation upon the teachings of the Gospels....where the teachings of Jesus are clearly defined. And Jesus taught love, forgiveness, tolerance, understanding, joy and mercy. Not hatred, bigotry, and prejudice.

A careful examination of GWB's actions leads me to the conclusion that he is NOT Christian, in spite of his claims to the contrary.

And before anyone jumps my shit, yes, I know...judge not lest ye be judged...but I'm not passing judgement here on GWB. I'm merely stating my own conclusions based on my own observations, and even the Bible says, "By their fruits, ye shall know them." Well, thus far, the fruits of GWB bear no resemblance to the fruits produced by a Christian...
