But I feel country more.
While actually rock too. Depending on which kind of rock your talking about.
I dont' feel heavy metal, punk, or hippity hop. They make it hard to concentrate or relax and make you want to go kill people or blow things up.
Those are for angry people.
Country, Christian, and soft rock help me relax, concentrate, and meditate on life in general. They also help me do better on exams.
I'm sorry, but as much of a listening fan I am of rock and blues based music, I have to say, some of the hardest things to play is definately jazz, and anybody who can pull some of that off is extremely talented in my opinion.

I agree. If someone were actually able to combine good jazz and good rock I think they would be incredible.

Blues is by far superior to all of those other loser genres. Except maybe rock and jazz... but still, Blues is hands down the best. Without it modern music most likely wouldn't exist, or would be entirely different. Also, blues has more feel than soul or country. I mean, come on: BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, and Chuck Berry even! How anyone think think that any thing is better on guitar, or even more fun to play, is mind boggling.
if you don't know what mathcore is, listen to Meshuggah.

If you play one blues song, you've basically played them all, classical is fun but overly rigid, I've never played jazz, I like rock and counrty but of the two I prefer country.

No, I am just saying its like comparing apples and oranges. All of the genres listed should be appreciated in their own way.

What the f--- is Mathcore?
And I would consider emo, if you're talking about Dashboard Confessional, a sub genre of rock,
Dashboard aren't emo...
Mathcore grew out of the 1994ish San Diego emo scene, with bands like the Swing Kids and Heroin.
These were bands that played emo drawn out to it's most emotional, so called 'hardcore emo'. These bands only played the hard screamy parts and often were political.
As their songs began to move away from traditional rock elements and time signatures, they used elements of free jazz, lots of weird time signatures, lots of abrupt tempo changes, stuff like that.
Thus 'mathcore' was born. It's siblings are emoviolence and emogrind.
All are basically emo, with little to no soft parts, focusing just on the screamy, wall of noise climaxes.
Yeah, it's rock, but a very specific variety of it.
Hardcore Emo: Heroin, Antioch Arrow, Mohinder, the Swing Kids
Mathcore: Dillinger Escape Plan, Meshuggah(more math metal...), Mudvayne(math numetal?)
Powerviolence/Emoviolence: combatwoundedveteran, Charles Bronson
Emogrind: Union of Uranus, Jihad

Stevie Ray Vaughn is so fun to play, oh god. It has so much feel to it. Blues music has meaning behind the song and the guitar, were as with rock it's all about how hard you play. I go soul, not speed.

Dashboard is emo.
No they aren't.
Emo is a type of hardcore, Dashboard is some whiner crying over his acoustic guitar.
Dashboard have nothing to do with Indian Summer, Moss Icon, Rites of Spring, ect...

The review of A Mark said that Dashboard would be the one to bring emo into the main stream.
If the reviewer guy on Window's Media Player says it's emo, it's emo
And emo is about whining over a guitar.

Ive been playing for about ten years now.
I love them all...
Except country.
That just sucks.
Its music for stupid rednecks with no soul.
Excluding the following.....
Willie Nelson.
Johnny Cash.
all the rest suck so much ass...it cannot be comprehended.
But hey.....since I play too..heres a joke that hit a little too close to home.
What do you do when theres a guitarist on your doorstep?
Pay for your pizza, and give him a tip.

Blues is the best, Because blues is a way to express yourself with the music you make
Most music is about expressing yourself...
Whether it be hardcore, techno, rap, blues, jazz, whatever.
Of course not all artists in these styles express themselves on the same level.
