In the world we live in it is not socially acceptable to be an advent Christian nation, where you do not allow gay marriage or against the UN. Well in truth I don't really see it as bashing Christians since the message of Jesus seemed to be one based on love, tolerance and respect and this is completely incompatible which the kind of self-righteous, xenophobic arrogance displayed by many people who call themselves his followers.

Because following the proscriptions against homosexuality does not inconvenience THEM...or force THEM to change their behavior or way of thinking, see. Following the OTHER proscriptions you mention...now that WOULD inconveneince THEM...and we can't have taht, now can we??
