Hooray, it's that time of year again and this time BB is evil!

What do you all think of the new contestants?

Who really annoys you? Marco really annoys me already!

They are all really annoying. I had the misfortune of walking in the room when my sister was watching it. That bald ones the worst.

The worst part about BB is that there is no escaping it. Its on the radio, telly, newspapers, conversations.

Marco annoys me much less than the bloke in the thong *shudder*
I hate the way they've picked a former asylum seeker calculated to piss people off and a man who is so wildly camp is will only serve to re-enforce stereotypes about gay men.
Meh, some of the girls are lovely ;)

Really? I think that they're all not that nice at all - there are no nice black girls in the house! Why not?

Big Brother was evil for the last four years!

It is ITV television - as Eynonistan said, it only reinforces stereotypes.

get it off my TV! bring back Angus Deayton! abolish the monarchy! RAHHH!

:D

sorry about that

the black slot was furfilled by the exasylum seeker (be interesting to see the tabloid view) and wasisname (forgotten)

Marco needs to be like o ma goood put to death

Thong guy will be interesting

As will the reaction of everyone when the thing reveals it was born a man

They have really gone overboard this year (methinks they are desperate after last year) and it should be very interesting

Ah, don't you see? They've deliberately chosen the extremities of stereotyping. The house mates will soon descend upon each other, friction will reach the point where the knives are confiscated. It'll be HILARIOUS.

Just tell me when it's over. I have enough of people stabbing each other in the back, lying, cheating and generally being bastards to each other in the real world without switching the gogglebox on to watch it as "entertainment".

Is this a UK version you're discussing about, or a US version? I only thought that it was a US and Dutch show.

Yeah i think they are hoping for the following kinds of action:

girl-on-girl
boy-on-boy
straight
thing-on-something
girl-on-bits sticking out of wall (we all know what those are for)

It's sad that people now think of "reality" tv programmes when they see/hear the words "Big Brother".

It was originally made by and filmed in britain and then the format was sold to approximately every single country on the planet, although if a company in america wants to buy the permanent rights thats fine by me....

Not here. It's a show on CBS hosted by an American anchorwoman, Julie Chen. It's filmed in LA, and none of the contestants have British accents.

unfortunately it was made in britian, which is why like the title says this is the fifth summer which we will have been swamped by endless "news" coverage of those people in the house.

They're cancelling Alias? Good. I watched the first two seasons. It was superb then, but by the end of the second season, it got far too unrealistic.

Big brother would be much more entertaining if they gassed the contestants that were voted off. In fact, if they did that, id hope every single one of them, and every former contestant could be voted off again just to end our/their misery.
