How do you really think one truly discovers whether they are straight, gay or bi? I'm not attacking anyone here, I just want to listen. I'm keeping an open mind today.

Whittier is close - basically, who are you physically attracted and emotionally attracted to? For many people, they can be physically attracted to both men and women, but only emotionally attracted to women. From that, they claim bisexuality and have casual sex with men and monogomous relationships with women.

Eventually, you notice a pattern when you are aroused and have sexual fantasies about men and none about women.

I realized I was gay when I was 14. It was nothing dramatic or anything, it just occurred to me. I think it's different for different people, though. Some might go through half their lives before they realize it.

In my early teens I was aware of these so called 'fag' people but I thought x-dressers and sex changes was what that meant. Had no desire to do anything like that and thought I was alone in my 'kinky' ways. I read a book about human sexuality and realized I was 'homosexual'. Worst day of my life to suddenly realize at the age of 13 you are this thing that everyone hates.

Anyhoo I figured it woud pass and waited for it to go away so I could finally be one of the guys and actually be aroused by females. Never happened, in fact I held out until I was 26!!!!

Humans are by nature meant to have children in their teens, so that they are still young and strong enough to raise and protect them. In today's society, having children while in your teens is a bad idea, since you don't yet have a proper means to support them. The urges given by evolution, however, are still there.

There's nothing wrong with a little sex, if done responsibly. I think that people have a healthier development if they get to explore sexuality at an early age (around 16 and up). Frankly I will never understand the taboo that lies over such a natural thing.

This all reminds me of when I was living in a boarding house. It came out I was bisexual (I was outed), and the little Christian virgin girls kept flocking me asking me why I was bi. They told me how did I KNOW I was bi if I'd never (at the time) had sex with a girl. I asked them how they KNEW they were straight, since they were virgins. They didn't see the connection. I have read a very interesting interesting study in a sociology and sexuality class. If I recall correctly, it was made by a reasercher named Alfred Kinsey.

Basically, what he said was that unlike what most poeple think, sexuality cannot be defined as simply gay or straight. Not even while throwing bi in.

He designed a scale from 1 to 6, 1 being totally gay and only aroused by men, 6 being so straight you could be used as a ruler. The range from 2 to four was bisexuality, with for some poeple a leaning toward one sex or the other. 2 was "gay but might consider having sex with a woman if the fate of the world depended on it", and 5 was basically the same for straights.

Quite interesting, really. I'd love to give more details but it's a bit fuzzy in my memory. If the question's so important to you, I suppose a google search on the guy's name could yield some answers, or a quick dab in your nearest psychology library.

I've always felt that people who are "straight" are attracted only to members of the opposite sex. By "attracted" I mean that they would be willing to have sex with them. If you could not even picture having sex with a member of the same sex, then you are probably straight. If you could picture having sex with both sexes then you are probably bi-sexual.

i'd probably have casual sex with either gender. i'm open to experimentation, so i'm not going to put a label on myself. let's just say that i like good times, and gender doesn't disqualify anyone from joining in good times.
