Listen To The Radio

I guess as a lover
I have a ways to go
When someone wants you
they should just say so
You'll understand
if you take my hand
then we can dance real slow
to something on the radio
Listen to the radio
Listen to the radio
let's spend the night together
baby don't go
They's singing on the radio
I try to find
a way to explain to you
what's on my mind
and not sound so plain to you
but you'll realize
if you close your eyes
the feelings my words can't show
they're playing on the radio
Listen to the radio
Listen to the radio
Let's spend the night together
Baby don't go
They's singing on the radio
The words I'd say
don't seem to sound as real
The songs they play
That's how I really feel
So listen to the radio
listen to the radio
let's spend the night together
baby don't go
they's singing on the radio
Listen to the radio
listen to the radio
let's spend the night together
baby don't go
they's singing on the radio

Oh yeah? Well, here's another radio song.
Radio Radio by Elvis Costello
I was tuning in the shine on the light night dial
doing anything my radio advised
with every one of those late night stations
playing songs bringing tears to me eyes
I was seriously thinking about hiding the receiver
when the switch broke 'cause it's old
They're saying things that I can hardly believe.
They really think we're getting out of control.
Radio is a sound salvation
Radio is cleaning up the nation
They say you better listen to the voice of reason
But they don't give you any choice
'cause they think that it's treason.
So you had better do as you are told.
You better listen to the radio.
I wanna bite the hand that feeds me.
I wanna bite that hand so badly.
I want to make them wish they'd never seen me.
Some of my friends sit around every evening
and they worry about the times ahead
But everybody else is overwhelmed by indifference
and the promise of an early bed
You either shut up or get cut out;
they don't wanna hear about it.
It's only inches on the reel-to-reel.
And the radio is in the hands of such a lot of fools
tryin' to anaesthetise the way that you feel
[Chorus]
Wonderful radio
Marvelous radio
Wonderful radio
Radio, radio...

I like country radio cause they show emotions.
They don't show any emotions on the others.
Their songs are like neutral, they don't make you feel anything.
Country can make you feel happy, sad, and it can make you laugh.
It can make you feel like giving to charity with your time or your money.
It can make you change the course of your life. And like this post says, it can express feelings that you can't express with words. And when you can't say with words, you can give a cd with a song on it that has the words that you are feeling.
Country can motivate you to stand up for your country, it can motivate you to seek justice, it can motivate you to adopt the abandoned child, it can motivate you to do good things in your community. Country makes people stand up and do stuff just because its the right thing to do.
The other stuff, it don't do that.
