The First and Oldest nation on NationStates

Does anyone know the first and oldest nation on NationStates? Do you think it belongs to Max Barry and is it in some hidden location/region?
What do you all think?
I think MB controls the entire mod group. I'm not sure what the oldest nation is, but I think it was called Bush.

The very first nation was Maxtopia. The oldest nation is Last Hope.

Maxtopia does not exist anymore and are you sure Last Hope is the oldest nation on nation states?
Last Hope got accidently deleted once, therefor I would say that Thomasia would be the oldest now (even though Last Hope certainly has been here longer than Thomasia)

Last Hope was only deleted for about 5 minutes. And since it was mod-error, it should still count as oldest.

The very first nation was Maxtopia. The oldest nation is Last Hope.
I thought that Max was beaten to the first nation by someone else.

Nah I think it makes sense as Max Barry created NS, Maxtopia would therefore be the very first nation.
So there you go, all nations are descended from Maxtopians!
my question is how was Maxtopia wiped out?
