Why is this thread called Niccolo, anyway? The only reason I looked into it was that I thought it had something to do with Machiavelli :D .

Dangit! I must've missed this post by a few minutes. Sorry Our Earth, I had just killed two threads (on the 27th) and was feeling a little down 'cause of it ;).

The name of the thread is 'cause of my nation's name. As you know, Niccolo is the first name of the author of the prince. Medici is the name of the powerful family he was trying to get a job with when he wrote that particular book.

Seeing as how the Prince was the first political science book I read, it had quite the effect on my fragile little mind. I have since read many of his other works and have become rather proficient in his philosophies. You sound interested in the topic, should we discuss our old teacher Niccolo or his schools of thought?
