Ideal American qualities

9. Votes
10. Expresses his/her own opinion
11. Explores horizons, never quits discovering new things

I just wanted to get that out. We Americans have lost sight of what the founding fathers wanted America to be. We can still continue this course, but let us remember to be "real Americans" once in awhile...

I really mean it. No sarcasm. I think that those are the ideals that the united states were built on and should be moving towards. So I say to you again, Good Job and thank you for posting this.

One could also assume that some of these things could apply to people of faith (meaning any) and people of business (meaning all).

Well 'accept' can't mean agree with, because that would involve contradicting yourself by being both for and against the same things.

Well 'accept' can't mean agree with, because that would involve contradicting yourself by being both for and against the same things.

Splitting red hairs aside, I think RMT hit the nail on the head. The use of "tolerate" covers being accepting of another's right to be of a different opinion. Be nice to see the PC crowd grab ahold of this one. I would especially love it if we could find some competant leadership who would embrace #2 but Jimmy Stewart is no longer available. Pity.
