Quit kidnapping the mormon girls!

What's going on here?!? First Elizabeth Smart, now Brooke Wilberger... Both mormon girls... within a year of each other... what's the deal here?

Is this just a coincidence?

Anyway, the real issue is kidnapping in general... why has it become so popular lately? I know there was that one faked-kidnapping thing a few months ago, but that aside, what's with this streak of crazies?

She dissappeared less than 100 miles south of me, and I urge everyone else in the pacific northwest to keep an eye out for her.

Perhaps "mormon girls" are easier to talk into plural relationships given their religious roots?

Maybe the mormon girls got sick of sharing thier men with seven other wives.

Maybe the mormon girls got sick of sharing thier men with seven other wives.Wow... if that isn't the most ignorant and stupid thing I've heard in a while... that's a 130 year old expired stereotype... it'd be like me calling you a slave owner just because you're white.

A combination of anomynity and isolation. with ther increase in non=face-to-face communication and even voiceless communication, some people are begining to feel isolated from society in general and at the same time faceless blurs in the crowd. Kidnapping provides a form of direct personal contact with at least one person and a means of rising above the faceless crowd, being paraded (although still faceless) through the media.

i wouldn't sugest this is the pathology in this case, but I would look to this as a cause if kidnapping of this type is on the rise. I don't know if it is on the rise either, perhaps a statistical analysis would be useful.

I have no Idea what that is. Oh, latter day saints, well. For A start I cant believe you are actually tying into an organised religious structure. But With a quick google search I could find a ton of polygamists professing mormon Beliefs.

Dont you watch Oprah?

The laffety brothers were for a time. So was Thomas green before eh got kicked out. And I've been hearing from sources that polygamy is not entirely uncommon in southern Utah, particularly around Colorado City-Hildale in the south.

Whats a name got to do with it? If we wanna waste time and argue why cant They be right and you be wrong, and You're not allowed in Their Church huh? I dont care what any Church Heirarchy has to say, its usually irrelivant.

Quit writing LDS. When I first saw it I thought "Woah! LSD has a church now?"

Wait didnt Elizabth Smart run away from her home and join a cult? There was no kidnapping involved. Maybe she thought that the cult made more sense then the mormons.

Admit it, you have no point :)

There is a peyote church and a marijuana church, so why not an LSD church?

And yet, the only LDS polygamists were quickly kicked out of the church through excommunication. Admit it, you have no point :) Hardly. From what i've heard, many mormons still in the church are practitioners, particularly in colonies in southern utah, orgeon, and in alberta, canada. Furthermroe, I'm surprised you of all people keep on insisting on using LDS instead of mormon. Imagine, this coming from the man who rails against political correctness...

Interesting how you say quickly. Greene wasnt kicked out quickly. He had time to get like 6 wives before he was kicked out and went to jail. I think you mean quickly as in "They were quickly kicked out as soon as they started attracting media and state attention"

Maybe....lots of kids get kidnapped, and there's enough mormons that there's bound to be mormon children kidnapped....

Nah, must be a conspiracy.
