No, America does not... it is derrived from mister Amerigo or whatever... the problem is not the "a" ending, it is the "innia" ending... common in romance languages to be feminine.

I thought you'd stated quite a few times you were female. I thought that was sort of obvious from reading you posts but maybe that's because one of the first posts i read was one saying you were a woman/lass/girl/etc.

Actually, as I found out recently, Baka is more correctly translated as "Fool" rather than stupid or idiot.
