politopia.com- I am always in the northwest with ayn rand and Drew carey either full blown or at least economically.

Onlytheissues.com- I get moderate usually on social issues ranging from 55%-62% or so on economic issues I get 88-100% yeah with me it sometimes varies and I took them a few times so how bout you guys?

Fun links.

I am the complete opposite of you, as is to be expected. In the Politopia quiz, I am closest to FDR. I like this; he was a great man.

In the Only the Issues quiz I came out as a moderate liberal (34) in non-fiscal issues, and a strong liberal (15) in fiscal issues. Not too surprising, for me.

You rank with Ayn Rand and Drew Carey? Whoa...

Seriously, I'd like to post all my political beliefs on this site so that people who know fancy terms like "market socialist" can tell me what I am. I run a communist nation, but am not sure whether I am an actual communist in RL or not. These sites just tend not to be specific enough, though they are fun to surf.

SE- You would feel most at home in the Southeast region. You advocate a large degree of government control over both economic and personal affairs. Your neighbors include FDR, Pat Buchanan, Adolf Hitler, and Josef Stalin, and may refer to themselves to as "communitarians," "authoritarians," "traditionalists," "fascists," or "communists."

On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (61).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (32).
Your score is on a scale of 0 to 100, with 0 being fully liberal and 100 being fully conservative

there is at least one quiz that isn't too bad, that may help you figure out exactly what your position is called/is closest to.

I think I answered wrong, I am definatly Left...

Centerville-You would feel most at home in Centerville, which means that you are more or less pleased the status quo-you think the US government has just about the right amount of control over your economic and personal decisions. Your neighbors include democratic and republican party leaders and others who call themselves "moderates" and "centrists."

On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal ( 28 ).

Good enough for me, :D

I am also in the Northwest- much closer to Rand than Carey. bet that scares some people!
And on the other one:
On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (36).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Conservative (85).
imagine that...
I'm only moderately liberal though because I didn't like any of the answers on some of the non-fiscal questions, so I couldn't feel as strongly about those responses :(
I promise that's why!! I'm very strongly for gay marriage, a woman's choice, etc...!
and I'm a libertarian socialist... (on the all socialists- all the time quiz)
imagine that!

I don't have an ideology--ideologies are too rigid towork in the real world. The vast majority of the mistakes the Bush administration has made in their time in office have been because they're so locked into their ideologies (tax cuts are good, global warming doesn't exist, the Iraqis will welcome us) that they're either unwilling or unable to adapt when the situation requires it.

So if I have an ideology, it's that I'm pragmatic.

According to Politopia I'm at home in the North West.

According to OnlyTheIssues:
On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Strong Liberal (8 ).
On Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Conservative (72).
Hopefully that means the same as what Politopia said.

And at the politicalcompass.org (which I think is better than the two tests above) I'm libertarian right. Which is the same as what Politopia said.

I think in terms of non-Fiscal they mean liberal in the European/old-sense. That is, libertarianism. In terms of Fiscal, they mean liberal in the sense that the government ought to intervene in the economy a lot, which is more of an American idea of what liberal means. It's not very clear, the Political Compass is much better at it.

SW- You would feel most at home in the Southwest region You advocate a large degree of personal freedom and a large degree of government control over the economy. Your neighbors include such folks as Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader, Hilary Clinton, and Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine, and may refer to themselves as "liberals," "left-wing liberals," "civil libertarians," "democratic socialists," "egalitarians," or "anarcho-socialists."

I'm down in the South East, right near the mainstream, which is ironic because I'm anything but mainstream in real life. All these tests get a little confused when you put it opposing extreme beliefs I guess.

I oppose executions and am pro-immigrant. I don't know, I think I could actually be catagorized fairly well within this sort of two axis system, but I can take the test twice and get totally different results based on my mood.

Hey, I'm wearing a RATM t-shirt right now

Well, that definition is right for me. Who is Jesse Jackson btw?

EDIT: on political compass I got:

Economic Left/Right: -9.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.92

I'm about as left as you can get according to that. lol

sometime i'd like to do a scientific survey to figure out the actual distribution of people's political compass scores. because it seems like a lot of the people who post them on the internet are shifted rather far to the left-libertarian side compared to mainstream politics. but that just could be a sampling error.
