I hate Dells, everyone I know who has one has had a problem with it within the first year of owning one. I'd suggest ANYTHING other than Dell ANY DAY!

I believe the Apple batterys went out after a year. Oh, and my iBook power adapter went out after a year also. *shrug*

Personally, I don't trust anything made by Dell after the hash of a computer system they put together for a friend, then led him a merry dance with bad tech support in the hope he'd go away.

Apple are the company to go to for good customer relations, though - it's what their business relies on to challenge Microsoft. The iPod isnt the greatest thing in the world but at least you'll know where you stand if it ever goes wrong.

for the same amount of money that I would spend on a Dell..I could build Big frickin' Blue.

They all use propreitary parts....not upgradeable.....theyre basically very expensive, disposable computers.
