While I'm glad to see the prison gone, some may interpret this act as 'destruction of evidence'

they should keep it as a monument to the excesses of Bushs unjust war for corporate greed in Iraq

Why are they bulldozing it? It is such an obvious play on dumb people's emotional attachments.

Why are they bulldozing it? It is such an obvious play on dumb people's emotional attachments. That's precisely they're doing it. It's an emotional move, and pathetically transparent. Had Bush ordered this a year ago, even six months ago, it might have had more resonance. Now it's a cynical move and everyone knows it.

I have no real beef with those who are/were against the war in Iraq, but it's just sheer lunacy to suggest we did it for economic gain...if anything my stocks have dipped...the stock market doesn't like this war, lots of companies have taken hits...it's made the thing a little on edge if you ask me...I mean if this was bout economic "corporate greed" I'd be sitting pretty on my Lockheed-Martin and Boeing stock as they make military planes...and my Colt-Firearms as they make weapons...but my aviation stocks are not going crazy...and Colt...is well Colt..they've been solid for a century.

But you won't get any kind of real argument on that note from MKULTRA.

It's not an argument I'm willing to make either, just to clarify.

Since when does it require that you have to vote Democratic to get rid of the shrub?

That is not free elections.

As an American I have the right to vote for anybody I want.

John Kerry is no shining example of leadership.

The Republican Power Brokers have the Shrub to order around.

The Democratic Power Brokers have Kerry to order around.

You are deluding yourself if you think the US is going turn into this beacon of humanity just because Kerry is elected.

IMHO, the Shrub is probably one of the most corrupt administrations to infest the White House and yet Kerry does not give people any excitement to run over and register and vote.

Again, our election will be a couple of Silver Spoons telling us about the good ol' days and American knowhow and yet will do little or nothing to change things.

I yield the soap box.
