Why Rush doesn't think it's torture

Today's disclosures from statements made by Iraqi prisoners in January show that they were forced into such humiliating actions as drinking liquor, having sex, masturbating, and cursing. For Muslims, these are sins, degrading and embarassing.
But for rush, it's daily life. He's a drunken addict and womanizer! As for language, tune in for as long as you can stomach it.
Oh there were also electrodes on the genitals and baton canings on the buttocks and thighs, but hey maybe he's kinky that way too.

It's just some frat fun! Really!
As was the nuking of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.
Same story with Auschwitz.
Rush is my god.

Perhaps Rush would be willing to subject himself to a nice on-air anal probe with a broomstick to prove that point....

Yeah, but that means someone would have to see him at least partially naked and actually manipulate the broomstick and, frankly, I couldn't even justify forcing my worst enemy to do that.

Oh... I'm sure we could find a volunteer... hey - it could be the next great reality show! Kinda like the Apprentice.... sign up for your chance to abuse Rush... I bet we could get a pretty good turnout for that!

In other news, Rush Limbaugh's new documentary, "When Angry Liberals Attack" has grossed 50 million dollars... according to our sources his 'adult films' career is off to a rocky start...

Well, ABC's kind of hard up for shows. I wonder if they could find space for "Who Wants To Sodomize Rush?"
Still, and I'm well aware that this is a cheap shot, the hard part would be figuring out which end to stick the broomhandle in. After all, both ends produce the most unbelievable amout of s*it.

I'm just wondering, what freaking fraternity were these people in???
Anal abuse with broomsticks??
Electrical wiring on the genitals???
I think the worst hazing I ever went through in my fraternity was having to wash Kappa, the house's mascot.

So I went to look up this doc, and after I pulled the fishhook out of my mouth, I did find an interesting Limbaugh commentary.
In fairness, here it is. (http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_042704/content/rush_is_right.guest.html)
What the gist of it is, is that Rush found a listing in Opinionjournal.com from a the corner of a media activist group in the corner of the opposition who by association and our forced binary of political thought would be considered liberals where they are less than sympathatic (to put it mildly) towards Tillman's death. From this deep dark corner of a deep dark corner, Limbuagh goes on to associate this notion with the mainstream and attributes it to why he feels the left has lost the majority. Magnimonious of him to acknowledge they ever had it...but that's not my point.
What strikes me, is that this little collection of extremists are indicative of the insensativity by Rush's assesment. So what are we to take from his dismissal, his equally banal and insensetive acceptance and excuse for the 'abuses' (not tortures, not according to him) when he is far closer to the mainstream of the conservatives? How in the hell do people reconcile themselves with this?

It's spelled 'magnanimous' if you were using the word I think you meant to. And that linked article probably annoys me as much as it does you. I'm a Centrist. I get very tired of both sides.

Hooked on phonics failed me! Spellcheck has made me a bad speller!
i didn't pay much attention during spelling sections in elementry school...
thanks for the correct. I wish I could say I'd remember the correct spelling next time I use the word, but......
A friend posted an essay by Vonnegut that had me thinking about the forced binary of political thought (including a Gilbert and Sullivan quote, of all things)
Here that is, for those who care. (http://www.inthesetimes.com/site/main/article/cold_turkey/) Off topic warning.
