I just downloaded their new album, not as good as original pirate material, but still good.

Not really a band...
But yes, great artist, though I've not heard the new album yet.
His new album isn't that great, not compared to Original Pirate Material, and the track Fit but you know it sounds like a rip of of Parklife.
He's got a great stage presence though. Saw him at T in the Park last year and he had the crowd under his thumb.

Different people keep telling me different things about this. Is Mike Skinner The Streets, or is The Streets the collective name for Skinner and his band? Anyone?

yeah, I was hesitant to call the streets a band, but I didn't know what else to call them. I agree, that the new cd isn't as good as the old cd, but I still like it. I would love to see them perform live. I don't know if they would ever tour the states though.
