FHN Hosting

I run a small (Very small) hosting business off of a single dedicated server. So far my net income is about five bucks. Yeah, five bucks, only from giving 500MB of space to my friend for $5. And if you're too ignorant to notice, the business name is FHN Hosting (Well, my original Opinion site was The Foe Hammer Nation, named after Michael Savage's Savage Nation, but once I decided to use my server for hosting, I changed it to FHN Hosting. You figure it out.)

Anyway, even if you're just looking for 100 Megabytes of space to host your nation's page, or a whole Gig to start your own Game/company/whatever, consider helping out a friend () before turning to the corporate giants for your business.

For each dollar you pay you get 100MB of Disk Space, 1000MB of Transfer (Otherwise known as Bandwidth), 20 Email Accounts, 2 subdomains (If you're hosting a domain, which, by the way, I will host on my nameservers free of charge if you buy some webspace) and other kickass features. Of course, the kickassedness increases as you move up the ranks (100MB, 200MB, 300MB, 400MB, 500MB and 1GB). Listed below are the plans I'm offering:

What do you think of my plans and options so far? Good? Bad? Somewhat strange?

FHN Hosting hosts domains as well as Subdomains. Once I get a whole jumble of cockups sorted out with our current Registrar, I will be able to set up subdomains for people who don't want to purchase a domain.

Hint: If you're going to register a domain, PLEASE don't use Interland. Please, please, please. Use GoDaddy or a service that doesn't suck.

Try giving a small amount of free space away to encourage people to buy the full deal.

Sounds good. How about a 50 Meg 7 day trial?

Could work. Check out your competitors, like http://www.freewebs.com.

You could also finance free hosting with compulsory banner ads, removeable upon upgrading to a paid site.

Aye, but where would I get a script that would insert the ads? Plus, I would need to find things to advertise.
