So, do you think god has a place in politics?

Do politics have an place in religion?

When I get to vote for who's the magical, invisible father or mother figure then they can interfere with how my country is run. Until then keep religion out of politics. History has shown us when religion and politics meet both become corrupt.

Theres a statement that says that religion and law should be two seperated issues. There should be a fine line between the two and no exceptions.

Let's see.... God might not have a place in politics...but he does have a PLACE if you know what I mean. So much of our world's history has been built on God and wars have been faught in the Gods name. What do you think of that?

We all seem to agree that history is the underlying truth in the topic at hand. The blood spilt in the name of god. Bridges built to praise a god just be torn down by the politics of some ignorant country. Think of it this way...would you want the pope to judge your life and juggle your taxes?

Though....if you think about it, some wonderful things have been done in Gods name....

Think about the Greeks, for example. Some of the most amazing victories they had were done in gods's name...

True, but the Greeks were inbred fools.

I meant nothing harsh by that, not really. Nor was i was trying to offend anyone. Just look at the myths of the Greeks and that is where you will find it. The destruction that happened because of the influence the gods had on the law. Creon the King by Sophocles for example...

Notice that all include King Creon, political leader, who was lead blindly by Gods into ruin. Where did bringing gods into politics get him? Blind, old and exiled from Thebes.

Wasnt it Christians who first spoke out against slavery, and against racism. Like Martin Luther King etc.

No, I would like to say yes but like it says in the Bible the law of ceaser shall differ from the law of god. Jesus said it so if you are a true christan you will adhear to it.
