I too would also like to see Atlas Shrugged made into a movie. The Lord of the Rings proved that you could take a really long story, split it into three, three hour long pieces and make it a success. You'd probably have to do a similar thing to Atlas Shrugged to do it justice. Ayn Rand believed that you could do justice to Atlas Shrugged if it were at least 8 hours long.

However, I think The Fountainhead is a better story than Atlas Shrugged. You'd probably have to split it into two, three hour pieces to do it justice. I think Russell Crowe or Adrien Brody would make a better Howard Roark than Brad Pitt and I think that Joaquain Phoenix would make an excellent Peter Keating.

I'd also like to see an Anime version of Anthem made into a movie.

that is an excellent choice for Keating. Half of why I think Pitt would be so great is because he wants to do it, and because he has been spending all of his free time architechting. He also wants to make it 6 hours. I don't really like Russell Crowe that much (and it would be so silly for him to be Roark to Phoenix's Keating), but Adrien Brody would be pretty interesting. Brad Pitt does have that problem that he's known as a sex symbol already- not very Howard Roark of him!

Clint Eastwood should direct Atlas Shrugged. Not only is he a great director he is also a Libertarian and I believe he could do the film justice even if it were only three hours.

I suppose if the 'in' thing in films is to adapt a huge book/s and create a franchise, then Ursula Le Guin's Chronicles of Earthsea might be fun to see.

R.L. Stine's Superstitious has a lot of gore and explicit sex scenes and would probably make a good horror movie.

Mmmm, I loved the series too, but haven't read them in a few years. Damn good imagination that woman. Dispossessed is really good too.

If any original film was to come out, I'd love to see (or make) a movie just of two mates walking and talking. No music (excpet for the credits) and taken in one shot. Yup the entire movie in one camera shot. Ambitious, I admit, but it would be damn cool.

I think I'd also like to see a magical non-Disneybastardised version of Winnie the Pooh.

Wonderful idea! If it was drawn in the original style (http://www.library.pitt.edu/libraries/is/enroom/illustrators/images/shepard/chris.gif) of E. H. Shepard, and went into the Taoist philosophies (http://www.just-pooh.com/tao.html) behind dear Pooh's thoughts, it would be perfect.

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?"
"What's for breakfast? said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?"

"I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet.

Pooh nodded thoughtfully.

"It's the same thing," he said.

I'd like to see a lot of books made into movies, but maybe first I'd like to see

The Lost Queen of Egypt by Lucile Morrison made into a movie. Excellent story, excellent subject.. Then maybe The Folk of the Air by Peter S. Beagle...

I'm just a frustrated reader who's read too many great books that are usually overlooked for hollywood fodder.

There are simply too many sci-fi novels to name that I'd like made into movies.
