it seems like the mods here are becoming more and more drunk with their own powers as they deat and lock threads based on the flimisiest of reasons and they pick favorite people who are granted special rights to do or say anything while others are singled out for special persecution either because of their politics or past run ins with the mods. In any event people are becoming afraid to say ANYTHING on these boards cause they dont know when on some whim theyll be the next victim of some mods irrational spite--this forum is becoming more and more about the mods egos and abuse of power then in people being able to feel free to interact. If this isnt a living example of thought control at its worst I dont know what is--this place is in danger of becoming as irrelevant as the american media because anything controversial at all is sanitized by control freak mods--will there come a day when itll be only the mods that are left here?

Yeh, in many respects NS resembles a poorly goverened nation. A few laws (often changed or selectively interpreted by the mods to suit individual circumstances) but no real constitutional framework. Favours and favouritism are the grease the makes the nS world go round. People tend to have "friendly mods" that are more receptive to individual requests by their cronies. There is no equity, or predictability. NS is a good game, but I wish Mxx would take more of an interest in the day-to-day management of affairs, or establsh some objective and enforceable guidelines.

not always true, I'm extreme right wing conservative at times, and most of the mods are liberal and they are as of yet to come after me...though i post few and far between and try to remain tactful... despite this though, you guys do remind me of the gestapo..try going after only those players who are abusive and so forth...someone saying they hate liberals shouldnt be censored..someone who goes "I'm going to kill you!" should.

1. Find an article you think raises an issue that should be addressed.
2. Make sure the article is from a trustworthy source (the less biased, the better)
3. Now you can copy paste the article.
4. If possible, break the article into smaller sections and address the seperate sections.
5. Provide your own thoughts on the issue/provide a short summary of your thoughts (from part 4).
6. Then post.

Also, stay away from inflammatory language (idiot, doodoo head, etc.)
Not only do they raise unneeded conflict, they just make the poster look stupid.


If you follows these suggestions, you won't look like some hack who's just tossing stuff about.

From what i've seen so far it seems that some of the rules can be 'interpreted' a number of ways...

Having said that, the only brush i've had with a mod was ok. I broke the rules and got treated fairly. Fairly even though all my endorsements were removed - at least i didn't get deted like the other guy :)

Mod in question was ready to discuss things and then cos i can hardly even get on the forums gave me a check list of what NOT to do when invading...although since i crashed and burned i've not tried again...

I can prove there's no mod conspiracy very simply.

If the mods deleted people simply because they didn't like them, Menelmacar would have deleted me in August and Melkor would have deleted me in September-November.

Sal would have deleted me, or had me deleted, after I pointedly did not wish him Merry Christmas. Rep would have deleted me after the fight I had with him on the April Fool's joke. Cogitation would have deleted me months ago (after all, I don't agree with her politics, and I doubt she likes me all that much). God knows what Steph would have done to me over my role in that Calamshan debacle...

Anyway, my mere existence proves that mods need to wait until someone actually does break the rules and ignore a warning before they delete someone. I think (and this is just my personal opinion) that MKULTRA should be given an ultimatum to show his "evidence".
