Don't you just love all of Earth's creatures?

Well no, I don't. I get along fine with most of them, but I have no fondness for hyenas, and skunks and possums are not high on my list either.


As far as outright loathing goes, spiders are my nemesis.
They are aliens, they have no skin or fur or scales, they have no lungs or bones or blood, or proper eyes.
Thestomach comes straight out of the mouth.
They don't run or crawl or hop or even slither; they skitter.
They can live in volcanoes, in the deepest ocean, an in the air currents above the highest mountains.
Aliens!

So what creature would you least like to cuddle up with, and why?

Viruses are the worst creatures, for obvious reasons.

A couple of years ago I saw some science programme hosted by Alan Alda wherein he confronted his arachnophobia and tried to appreciate spiders. I learned that they really are *amazing* creatures (and rather clever too.) I now try not to kill them.

The most hateful creatures I can think of are Shit Demons. They scare the Shit out of me. :shock:

Refer back to your biology text, please. Spiders A) do have lungs and B) do have blood, which, like our own, is blue C) have enormously well developed eyes, some of which may among the best in the arthropodic world and D) the stomach does NOT come out of the stomatic opening; that's sea stars you're thinking of. To my knowledge, no spider known to man can expel its own gastrointestinal tract.

That would probably be the now-slightly flattened remains of their brains and multiple-channel hearts, not their blood. Spider blood contains several bluish-tinted blood cells, as your own does.

Roaches scare the living daylights out of me (especially the large flying cockroaches that make faces and love to give chase)... :cry:



EDIT: And I acutally like rats and bats. They're so cute and cuddly- I'd love to have one as a pet. :D

in georgia we have flying roaches that get up to 4 to five inches long!

wambats. those are some nasty little buggers.

[drawls] Yessir, they grew skeeters big up north. Why, I mind the time I was working on the shack when a pack o'them got me cornered. Ferocious they was, with vicious red eyes and a buzz fit to scare the hair right off yer head. I did the only thing I could -- I leaped into the empty keg of nails and pulled the lid down over me.

Well, hell, those skeeters hit the side of the barrel so hard their beaks slammed right through the wood. Lucky fer me, I still had my hammer, so lickety-split, I bent those needles over so they couldn't pull back for a second try.

Thair was a horrific buzzing and before I knew it, I could feel mah barrel being lifted away. Mah gut sploshed down into mah toes. I got mah eye to a knothole, and shore nuff, we were so high up the back 40 looked like a postage stamp. I took to trembling and sweating, let me tell you. But then I saw that we were flying over the Kiskatinaw River, so I's took mah chances. Quick as a flash, I clawed those skeeter beaks straight and threw myself from side to side in my little cage. Shore nuff, the barrel slipped off thair beaks and plummeted into the river, and that's why I'ma sittin' here telling you this story today.

No telling whair I mighta ended up...

yeah, mosquitos suck. when i was in montana i had 63 bites. i itched somethin' fierce, because i'm allergic. can you say infection?

I don't think any animal really harbors any hate. I don't like spiders at all though. I hate them infact. I flip out whenever I see one....I cry sometimes to.

Children of the Earth. Windscorpions. Camel Spiders. All the same thing.

One of the scariest little beasties known to man. And they inhabit my New Mexico! If you don't know what one is...

Fear. They scream. Really! When you get near them, they lift their pinchers and make a shrill shrieking noise, and it scares the @#$% out of you.

I just remembered how much I despise urban seagulls & crows. They wake me up at dawn with their gawdawful screaming and bickering. I don't quite wish them extinction but if their numbers were reduced by about 75% I'd be happy...

Rats are vermin, they spread disease, destroy grain and creep me out big time.

Spiders catch and eat bad bugs. Snakes eat vermin, including disgusting rats. Bats eat tons of mosquitoes.
