This "life" that you talk about... where can I download one?

I'm thinking maybe I should get out more.

Sorry, should have made this clear. This is a topic about the lonely road that is geekdom

I (very) recently discovered that they're surprisingly easy to get once you stop feeling sorry for yourself and actually try.
Then again, I've never not succeeded in anything I've tried for, because I'm almost the human ideal* and always right in the long run. Find someone who has a few interests in common with you, get lightly chummy with them, and say hi/bye whenever appropriate without saying much more. If they're as lonely and pathetic as you are, or if you're simply an amazing person who all others look up to, this'll be enough.
Of course, if you work in a cube farm and don't get out at all except for this, just bring Krispy Kremes once and they'll all be your best friend for a day. Cover or obscure your namebadge and see who refers to you by name. Then you know your prey, and can begin the uphill battle of getting them to honestly like you.

*Okay, so I'm being modest for once. I don't want to hurt Spoffin's feelings.

I'd also like a life.

I remember her from way back when. I wonder how many old-school posters are still around but with new names hiding their age.

Not many dead people post on forums, so I'd say you've got a life.
How you lead your life and what you do with it, is no other buggers business. Think you can make a difference, somehow, someway, on the web? Go for it.
Wanna start your own crap-coffee franchise? Go for it.
Which course of action I wonder, adds more to the human experience?
