I think the mod's kind of did preemptively kill that thread there were so few replies, they claim it was flamebait but what if it turned out to be a perfectly good debate? They should have let it stay for a while then locked it once it actually fell into the gutter of flames.

Actually, I beheaded Nick Berg. And I am neither American, nor Israeli. -- I just live in Bush Country and the heat(d) must've got to me. So it's not my fault, it's the society's :wink:

No one is blameless, and inflexibility in search of ideological purity is no virtue.

They're few and far between, unless you're automatically lumping all Democrats into the liberal label. I think almost all the liberals voted for the Patriot Act . Look at the Clinton years. He was a compromising weak liberal desperately seeking approval from others and he sold out all his values--because of his liberal betrayals of progressive issues republicans were able to take over congress and that was his legacy--a weak president who let his enemies define him and takeover power as a result
