Oh well, I guess this poll will settle it. All the people who respond to rap and hip-hop, the entire culture that it speaks to and for, will all realise that they are of course wrong, throw out thier rap CDs and go out and buy Nickleback.
or, wait...it could all be a matter of personal taste and response. It could be that rock is a giant pile of repetitive and pandering crap that happen to speak to you but sounds just as shitty to them. Maybe, just maybe, people have differing tastes and requirements for their music and if you listen to a dirrevative stream of guitar crunching you shouldn't be throwing rocks out of your glass house.
You might think you could rap, but I'd gather you'd find it harder than you think to do it well.
(I don't listen to hip-hop, I just have scope)

It really depends, both Rock and Hip-Hop have high and low points, both usualy involve the lyrics :P
Anyway...do you mean Rock in general, or, say, Death Metal? Or Classical Rock? Techno?
