Yeah, so, my 'rents kicked me out because I was learning how to drive. Told me never to come back, and 2/3 of my family isn't speaking to me any longer.

My first thought... what am I going to do without NS?

Anyways, I'm at my girlfriend's now... until Monday... we might have a place. We just have to wait for the credit check.

I just wanted to share that with all. So, if I'm not around, don't fret... hopefully, I'll have internet back very soon.

Honestly, my girlfriend taught me how to drive. I'm 19, and my parents think I should take lessons, but my girl says I did just fine. Anyways, my step-mother (who doesn't like me to begin with) flipped out about it, we got into a horrible argument, and she told me to leave. So, I did.

It's not that I'm a horrible child, she just doesn't like the person I am. Outgoing, honest, and most importantly: Gay.

Well, according to my opinion, no parents should ever kick their kids out for any matter. AND IT'S JUST LEARNING TO DRIVE! WTH!

That's a problem. You have a homophobic step mom and you are gay. No wonder things didn't work out.

I am in college, but I don't have a place to stay for the summer. So, now instead of paying for room & board at school, I'm going to live (hopefully) about 10 minutes away from it.

You know... "homophobic" is a bit of a misnomer. It's used to mean people who don't like homosexuals but literally it means people who are afraid of "the same" which doesn't make much sense, but even if you read "homo" as "homosexuals" is means people who are afraid of homosexuals which is not how it's used.

That said, I'm sorry you're in a bad place TH, and hope you pull through. :D

well, if its cool with your girl friend i would stay with her until you get a job and can get a room at the school or something.

Problem is, I can't afford it on my own. I just don't have the money. Plus, things aren't peachy keen for her being gay in her house either. It's better for the both of us that we get out of the hell we live in,

Millersville, PA. It's outside of Lancaster, which is like 2 hours west of Philadelphia.

If it is homophobia that got you kicked out, you deserve much better. I don't know you personally, but sexual preference is never a reason for something like this.

If it actually was the driving lessons........ well, then I don't really have much to say.

Good luck. I really hope you get it all worked out.

Eek!. Sounds like there's more to the picture than just driving lessons.

Anyways, good luck at college and all & I hope everything works out for you.

There's a lot more to it than just the driving lessons. It's been rough for the last four years of high school there. They just don't like who I've turned out to be, and I've made a lot of mistakes, but they just haven't been able to forgive me. I doubt they ever will. Thus, it's better for both parties if I find residence elsewhere.

is she your girlfriend or just a friend

Homophobic, in the Greek sense of the term, actually should mean something more like afraid of the same, as previously mentioned, or in the Latin sense, afraid of people, which is even more bizzare.

Whatever the case may be, they're not too bright. I'm conservative, but Bush lost some major points with me when he decided to go that strongly against gay marriage. There will be things like property complications involved, but there are with straight marriages.

oops, i'm rambling. anyway, good luck.

Well TH is a girl- if that helps
and I assume she means the girl that is more than a friend- I could be wrong, but at least last I heard she was dating someone- she posted a cute picture in one of the other threads
(that was me trying to make sure I wasn't overstepping my bounds by answering that question)

Step parents suck, no matter how cool they are.
But homophobic ones suck more. I don't know what to suggest. My dad and his new wife are cool with me being gay, so I've never been in that situation.
