Have you seen the video of the beheading? I have, and it was the worst thing I've ever seen. I couldn't even bring myself to watch the whole thing, it was so disgusting.

Everyone I know that's seen it has gotten physically sick... I didn't even listen to the Audio when hannity aired it.

Hearing the description was enough for me.

But I would suggest that those who refuse to accept the FACT that evil exists, SHOULD watch this movie, and tell me that evil does not exist.

I'm serious, it would be impossible for me, with a shred of conscience, to say that it was just some sociological problem.... It'd be like staring at the sun and saying it isn't bright.

However I must say the recent issue of his family blaming the government and bush etc. is crazy the man was there on his own account and should have been saved if possible sure, but the fact is no one is to blame he was there doing as he wished and that I am fine with its his death that bugs me the guilty are those who cut off his head! And he had to have known the risk when going there.

i've seen it and all it did was instill an anger and rage towards the people that did this. You cannot 'un-see' something and this is one thing that will stick in my mind for a loooong time.

The guy was beheaded because of the way american soldiers treated iraqi prisoners there in their right mind to blame bush in the video what ever group they where stated that they told the americans that they would exchange berg(sp?) if they realesed a prisoner, its america's fault this happened to them

No and I am not interested. I saw the Daniel Pearl video and I deeply regret seeing it. Beides, the people that made this video and the Nick Berg ine want you to see it and get angry or disgusted but I refuse to be swayed one way or the other by a bunch of psychotic freaks who are nothing more than common criminals.

people can I guess. I for one see it as a war on evil. Yeah blaming bush, I believe he had fair warning and protection offered him by the government to keep him safe and even get him out. He should have listened though I can admire his being there and even staying its a shame this happened. I think we should stay in Iraq until they can handle themselves, get the peace or at least somewhat and a government of some sort as well and then staying somewhat involved (for our gain and theres)

When the other countries are threatening to the world, are constantly fighting each other, and thrive in poverty... they clearly are unfit to govern themselves in their current state... so we go in, and root out the evil warlords and extremist leaders, and let the people elect who they wish, and have freedom of religion, and other basic civil rights.

I wouldn't want to see that for anything in the world.

Question to those who want to see that beheading: why would you possibly want to see something as horrible as that?

No I haven't looked at the video nor any stills. I have enough imagination to 'see' in my minds eye what a be-heading looks like. Neither do I wish to see the agony and terror on the poor bastards face as he is killed. I don't wish to watch people lower on the humanity scale than pond scum carrying out butchery. I don't have to look at it, my heart goes out to the slaughtered man and his family and friends. If ever I were to meet one of them, I couldn't look them in the eye and say 'I watched the video'.
In my opinion, watching the video is the same as watching a snuff film.
I would be ashamed to watch the thing.

And just to compare the vile stuff with the abuse carried out to Iraqi prisoners by American 'soldiers'. I understand from listening to the senators that viewed the hundreds of photographs and videos that they too are appalling and inhuman. It goes without saying that (I hope to God) there is nothing as sub-human as the be-heading video. But there is a valid comparison. We have been bombarded with propoganda for a few years now that Muslim fundamentalists and groups like Quaeda are murderous butchers and the video in question here is ample proof of that. But alongside that propoganda, we have been told that this is not the way we act. We are told we are way above that and indeed, after the failure to find WMD in Iraq, all the propoganda emphasis has been on fighting this sort of evil. What the American 'soldiers' have done, as upholders of those values, is to descend to the same level. I don't care that the number of people involved (hopefully) was small, the evil and despicable fundamentalists that carry out attrocities in the name of Sadaam or Islaam are also very much the minority. It seems to me that we are all capable of creating hell on Earth. Scum is scum wherever it comes from.

Wait... how is that any worse than the video of the journalist who was captured by Al Qaeda in Pakistan? You remember, I'm sure, the video of his throat being cut open.

It is illegal to invade another country without first being attacked. We were told over and over again that the coalition invaded a sovereign nation to rid it of the WMD that apparently posed an immediate threat. That had and has nothing to do with the 'war on terror'. Terrorism only thrives in Iraq now as a direct consequence of our invasion. Im sorry and sad to see your gloating words that 'other nations are bending to 'our' demands'. That's how the world should be run is it? America and a few allies demand something from a foreign country and if they don't obey, thay get bombed and invaded, because they have the impertinence to 'disobey' us.
