The EU seems to be dedicated to a "highly competitive" "social market economy". Hm. Wouldn't the two concepts be mutually exclusive?

Besides, 263 pages plus addendums versus the US's entire constitution plus amendments which can be understood by anyone with the slightest level of intelligence, can be scanned through in an hour, should recieve a Plain English award and most definitely protects against a tyranny of the majority, at least in principle, versus the draft EU constitution which from the initial looks of it does not...

I know which one I like the sounds of better.

America should join the EU, then in a sheer fluke, the entire population of America decides to go and visit France, causing famine. When that's happening, Britain quietly ships over half its army to the unpopulated America, puts up posters saying they've to remember how loyal they are to us. Hopefully, they'll be so drunk and gullible that they'll accept it, and presto! The empire's back on the road!

Join the EU? Now why should we do that? First of a good portion of Europe doesnt like us any way. We have little to gain from it..I think we should just pull out form the UN i mean being part of it certinly doesnt help us at all. If any thing we should try and get some kind of AU "American Union" and attempt to Unite the Americas...or go imperialistic and conquer the world we probebly could. :roll:

With the EU's help we can conquer anything! Even the EU!

Apart from the fact that the global economy wouldn't be as prosperous (and they wouldn't accept us, anyhow), sure, why not join?
