After seeing those pics on the news it has made me sick to pit of my stomach!! I think that Bush needs to leave and he should leave now. He says he wants to stay until June 30th and then pull out but I think he should have pulled out ages ago....when he was told to!! To think that the States tries to call themselves a good place is just wrong. I mean dont get me wrong I like some thats right SOME places arent all that bad and not all Americans are either but Bush is givning his own people a bad name. Another thing is also giving Muslims a bad name as well, I mean its not right to go around saying that all Muslims are bad ppl, I mean what these Muslims are doing is wrong yes I will agree but u...yes U need to know the difference between Muslims. Educate urself before u go around saying this that and the other about ppl.

i cant say youre wrong but i dont think we can cut and run. we need to do the harder thing and clean up our act, make sure that we leave iraq with some kind of stable government, and not leave the world with the impression that if you just keep killing soldiers we'll give up.

this is what happens when you go to war with people who are not your enemies

We can't leave. In a culture that values strength, it would be the ultimate signal that we don't have it.

At the same time, we can't really stay for much longer. The Iraqi people almost certainly aren't going to let us stay, especially if Bush stays in office, but probably regardless of who's in the White House. We've poisoned too many wells permanently.

What can I say? We managed to Kobyashi Maru the whole thing in just a year. There may be no good way out.

exactly
this may require more finesse than our current administration is capable of
after all these are the people who thought that the iraqis wouldnt mind being invaded as long as it got rid of saddam

Bush should have never even begon the war with the shaky information he had. A statistic is that 90% of people in suburbs in iraq had acess to water before the war now it is down to 60%. But since Bush made this mess he has to fix it.

I don't think they should have gone in the first place, but now that they're there I don't think running would be a good idea.

this is a war we can't afford to lose.

If we leave now, Iraq will become worse than Vietnam was post-war.

Just because a dozen troops do something stupid, is no reason to indict the whole military.

Stop poiliticizing this war!

The war was stupid, and now we can not leave.

So basically we're screwed, if we leave a power vacuum their the entire place will collapse in anarchy and we'll lose all of that precious oil.

Are you saying it should NOT be a concern?

The Saudis are peaking, their oil fields are all 40 years old and their production levels are starting to falter. If we do not secure another source of oil our country will have some serious problems in the near future.

What you think WMD's were the prime concern? Everyone in power knew that UNSCOM destroyed them the first go around. Freedom for the Iraqis, yeah right, Iraqis don't pay taxes or vote, and you expect the government to care?

This was all about PNAC, benefiting Cheney's buddies in varied national strategic industries, and Saudi Oil peaks.

I agree that to leave would be an invitation to disaster. But your call to stop politicizing the war is either mere rhetoric on your part or exceedingly naive. Not to get all Clauswitz on you, but war really is an extention of politics by other means. There are no wars free of the stain of politics.
