Middle of the Road's the way to go.

In this election, I'm hoping for Kerry win. I think it's just time for a change.

For the record:

Republican = Conservative
Democrat = Moderate
Green = Liberal
Independent = Independent

(in case you didn't know)

Sometimes the neocons like to describe the democrats as liberal, which is laughable, as to REAL liberals, democrats are conservative and republicans are... well... Nazis... :lol:

politicalcompass.org has a great political map.
Not to be a cheapass self serving liberal minded person, but while Bush and Kerry are off next to Hitler, the Green party is chilling with gandhi, Jesus, and Nelson Mandela. 8)

*sigh* So you're telling me that by politicalcompass.org I most agree with the Green party? Crap. I just can't bring myself to vote for their candidates.

Mine's democrat. I can't stand all those pompous and stupid Republicans.

I'm a registered Democrat (or so I think... I still haven't gotten my voter registration card back yet), but I've been an independent for so long that I still think of myself as one.

Independant is not a party at all.
The Green Party is not a major party.
There are no Greens in congress. In 2000, Nader was not on the ballot in most states and finished with only 2.7%.
The Libertarian party is larger than Green in most respects.
The Reform Party did even better than either, with 8% in 1996 And Perot received 19 million votes in 1992, as an independant.

lol No. I'm american. i know in australia "liberal" means the opposite of what it means in the U.S. i have an australian friend who happens to be a liberal and it's funny that we both label ourselves liberals but have completely opposite opinions about politics.

And that brings up the confusion between "big L Liberals" and "smal l liberals". The first are members of the Liberal party and are "classical liberals", meaning right. The second are leftists.

8) I used to consider myself a Democrat for the longest time. However Nader in 2000 showed me the error in my ways.

Real change won't happen with the current structure the way it is. We need a viable third, or even fourth party.

So I guess I'm Green.
