Netscape versus Internet Explorer

I just downloaded netscape browser. I think it works much better than Internet Explorer.
With IE it takes me 5 hours just to get into NS forums. With Netscape, it took 1 minute.
What are your experiences with these browsers? And which do you think is better.

mozilla. what's that?i was told that it's the same as netscape except that it's more up to date. i haven't had netscape for some time so i haven't compared recent versions of it to mozilla...

but i quite like mozilla, it's a good browser.

Aye. We only use netscape on all the computers at my house. My high school is like the Micro$oft trainee school. All they use is Dells and IE don't work too well at all, at least on those computers. Even the computer teachers are pissed.

IE works just fine for me, in comparison to the Netscape crap at school

Do you know how hard it is to find your history? Click here, there, ummm....

I could be mistaken, but Im fairly sure that the type of browser you use has nothing to do with your ability to get onto this forum.
Its all a matter of the host of this site, and thier connectivity issues.
Currently NS is using a host that just cant cope with the number of hits they receive...thus...the reason why NS is changing hosts.

You could use a Linux browser for that matter..it really wouldnt make much of a difference.

Firebird is the the older version. I won't be bothering to upgrade til they reach version 1.0.

I'm using firefox. It isn't bad, a couple of java apps I have don't run on it yet, but then I can use IE only on those.

I find that sometimes this site doesn't respond well on Firefox.... But that is in rare cases.

Not too bad. I found it a little slow for my tastes.

I have heard so many people complain about Netscape crashing out on Windows XP PCs (even though it worked fine on WIN98 or WIN2K). I tell them to go to Mozilla.org and use one of their browsers, and I have not heard a single complaint yet about those browsers dumping.

Odd. I found that it was much faster than other browsers. Guess it varies between different computers. What I like about it is the mouse gestures, the easy access menus (that allow you to block pop-ups among other things), and of course the fact that you avoid the gaping security holes of IE.

;) that too of course.

That is why I switched to Firefox eventually. I did try Opera for a while, but, I didn't like it, just as I didn't like Netscape or Microcrap Winddowns' IE... and Outlook Excrap (who me hate windowns?! ;))...
