Having visited both places, I would have to say .... Idaho.

Idaho! haha that is my current residence. I love both states but I'm an idahoan I'd rather live here of the two and I enjoy living here definetly a close one but idaho wins by a few points lets say. And in fact the poll currently shows Idaho winning! 8) :) :D

whats wrong with Idahoans? And texans? I love both states I'd say they are the best in the country along maybe new hampshire any of those. I'm assuming because the overwhelming majority of Idahoans are conservative religious folks right? Because we don't care for over taxation and huge cities (i couldn't live in a huge citie like san jose or something) oh and we own guns. Hell I think this makes us pretty respectable we're hardworkign moral people who want to be free and independent and compared to most of the country are.

Idaho like new hampshire was one of a few states considered for the libertarian free state project and I feel we would have been a good choice (though NH is doing better)
