according to the BBC ossama bin ladin has reportedly offered 10 kilograms of gold for the heads of top American and u.n. officials, particularly those in iraq

but more disturbingly he has also offered 1kg of gold for any American of British civilian anywhere in the world, and 1/2 a kg for any Japanese of Italian whom he called the "slaves of the security council"

how does this make you feel? have your opinions on the war on terror been changed at all becasue of this?

So, let's do the math, shall we, kids? The average American adult's head is oh, 3-4 kilograms, right? He is offering 1 kilogram for about 4 kilos of actual substance. Meaning, that every kilogram of your average sized head is worth 1/4 kilo of gold. Gold is currently worth 387,50$/ounce. 16 ounces in a pound. (I'm using standard measure for ease of our American audience. Makes me appreciate the metric system so much more, anyhow) 387,50 X 16=6200. 6200 ($, that is) times 2.2 (pounds/kilogram, for those not familiar with Metric) equals 13 888$ So, the Average American or British cranium is roughly equal, by my calculations, to somewhere between 14 000-13 000$ Now, how many people can boast that they're worth more than thirteen thousand dollars? 351 340 300 people, as near as I can tell. :shock: Okay, yeah, my head hurts now..too many numbers.
