Canada is awsomely nasty

From the view of my friend:

I recently went to Canada. There are no television nudity laws in Canada, or at least, they are much more lax then in the U.S. I was flipping through the channels and I got to the discovery channel. On the discovery channel was a show about how to have sex with a pregnant woman without damaging the baby. On the show, they showed some nasty hardcore, pregnant sex. They even had pregnant "doggy-style". This is f***ed up. Hardcore pregnant doggy style porn on the Discovery Channel. Who would have thunk it? It was like an hour of this. They even showed one lady f***ing who wasn't pregnant. This guy was even rubbing the pregnant women's boobs while having sex. I don't think that has to do with safe positions. I couldn't help but keep on watching. It was nastily hilarious. Just thought I'd share this story.

Well as a Canadian myself I'd like to say that your friend is probably wrong about that. In any case, however, our Discovery Channel is the same as the American one so....

Second, I don't think the discovery channel at any rate would show how to have sex with a pregnant women, your friend was probably ewatching SexTV or the Playboy channel.

'Nuff said.

Glad you mean "nasty" in the complementary way!

I think you were watching SexTV, which is a Sunday-night show on the Showcase channel - the same one that shows our beloved Trailer Park Boys.

I think as Canada becomes an increasingly mature & peaceful society, it's only natural that it becomes more a *sex-positive* one. This term refers to a society that publicly celebrates sex for the beautiful and diverse blessing that it is - not as something "dirty" or even "nasty".

O Canada - I love our freedoms here :D

(Too bad not *every* Canadian cherishes these freedoms - we still have the occasional dried-up, censorious schoolmarm unfortunately - but they're a dying breed)

BTW Janet Jackson's in Canada right now. In interviews this week she has congratulated Canada on being as sexually-progressive as it is, and lamented that the U.S. is sadly "going backwards" in sexual maturity & freedoms.

Eh, it's just nudity and sex.. TV is full of hate and violence. I don't see where a naked body should be as offensive as some guy shooting 10 people in a movie. I think people need to get a grip. I don't think Americans were as offended as they pretended to be over "nipplegate" I think they just pretended to be offended cause it was the politically correct thing to do.

Only over protective mothers were offended. Even though, in reality, the children that they are trying to protect have probably already seen a boob personally. Kind of ironic, isn't it?

Those things are only offensive because of the censors, by censoring the stuff, they make it look bad. And if it already is, well, they just make it worse.

True. This is shown with curse word censorship. Being sensored, it leaves it open to interpretation (sp?).

The show you saw was probably the Sex Files. It's kind of a documentary/scientific/instructional sex show that airs at nine o'clock on the Discovery channel on Saturday nights. It also once had an episode that fit the description of what you saw.

So does anyone know if this program also appears as-is on Discovery in the U.S.? Or does Discovery in Canada have different content?

haha, that was either Sex Files, or Sexual Secrets, both awesome shows. They're technically educational. For me, in Canada, they are on both the discovery channel, and lifetime. A little later at night for me though

Our discovery channel here in America most certainly does not have any shows like that. I've also noticed that we're stricter about profanity here: I've heard the word "fuck" quite a few times on basic cable in Canada, but never here (except on, say, HBO). Society should really be beyond censorship at this point: Canada and Western Europe have it right. The US is just so friggin backwards...

Not from direct experience of course!

Wasn't there a song about the Discovery channel? "You and me ain't nothin' but mammals, so let's..."?

Why would having sex with a pregnant woman be sick or perverted? It relaxes the mother and when it's done right, there's no way to harm the baby either.

Besides, sex is a great and natural way to launch a shockwave of endorphins (the body's own version of morphine) from the brain, thus making _both_ baby and mother feel better and more relaxed.

Maybe it's _you_ who is somehow perverted?

Y'know surveys have shown that *most* expecting married couples continue to have sex during the woman's pregnancy. That includes YOUR parents Greater Valia, when you were a few months old in the womb...and you can never know for sure unless you ask them can you? :D

No offense, but let me guess, you're either a teenager or a young adult. Certainly not in a serious relationship nor have children. When I was pregnant my own doctor told me it was ok to keep having sex with my husband. It's so creepy that even doctors tell you to go ahead. Further more, that's quite a vain mentality. My husband may of been attracted to me at first because of the way I looked. I assure you if you marry a person based on looks you will soon find yourself single again. My husband married me because he loves me.. and probably loved me even more because I was giving him a child. Some men think their wives are quite beautiful while pregnant with their child. There is nothing sick nor creepy about it. Besides, after I had my kids I was back to my hot self..lol and we had beautiful children and no babies were harmed because my husband and I made love while I was pregnant. When you get a little bit older and you get married and if you really love your wife, it won't make one damn bit of difference.

Jesus Christ Steph! Need I remind you that certain individuals on this site still believe in the two cardinal rules of adolescant sex.

1) Your parents never had sex, ever. You were immaculately conceived.

2) Once conception has occured, a couple immediately find each other so sexually unappealing that they get seperate beds and begin sleeping with the hired help.

For shame that you mock the cherished beliefs of others, for shame!!!!

Time to write a little e-mail to the admin.
