Christians are the root of all evil. Everything bad thing that has happened is because of them. God is punishing America for the hypocrisy and evil of the Christians.
Everything is their fault. I hate them all. They are all liars. The only good christian is a dead christian. Since the day I was born they have tried to kill me and they always demonize me no matter what I do.
The best thing for America is to ban all christians from the government and the military. This will be my platform when I run for office again.

I don't know why I am replying to this but...

My grandparents are both Christian. They are anything but evil. As for not following Jesus' teachings, that was a long, long time ago (back in the middle ages, when even the pope decided that it was ok to kill as long as you did it "honourably", and the cardinal of britain ordered an entire village massacred because someone splashed him accidentally). And that was hundreds of years ago, if not over a thousand years ago. As for modern Christians, can you give me any proof that all Christians are Satanists? Can you give me proof that all Christians are evil? It's like saying that all Muslims are evil using the actions of Osama Bin Laden as proof. I certainly don't believe that for a minute. I know a very good family of Muslims. And when, in modern times, has not being Christian been punnishable by imprisonment?

I am a Christian and to my understanding christainity is about forgiveness not only via Jesus by us as humans as well. No one (Human) is perfect not even one, so how can u expect someone to follow the Ten Commandments 100%. Anyway in the bible it is said (once again from what I interpret) that the ten commandments are no longer needed, Jesus is the way of grace and it is only by grace we can enter into heaven.

Do not associate the people who use GOd and Christainity as their shield for their actions. There are people out there who say they do things in the name of Christ but are only really fattening their own pockets.

I do not hate christians, but I do think that the modern Christian church has become in many ways the worst institution in the world. Notice I said institution and not faith ? Let me explain, as a religion/faith/spirituality, christianity is really very nice. Turn the other cheek and help people and all.Christ had some very good ideas, and people should try to live up to them. As an institution christianity has been responsable for some of the greatest crimes against humanity in recent history.
And as a historical note, in many cases christianity was forced on people. In North America, native americans were forced to go to church or they were beaten, they also were kept from performing thier native rituals by the church.
In africa , non christians were hanged to provide an example to those who refused to convert.
Hungry people have been refused food until they convert.
Just some examples for you. And I have been to a non-christian country before, and it looked much the same as a depressed christian country.

I am not sure quite how the Christian Church is evil in any way. Admittedly there are many variants of the Christian church and some of them are a little weird, but, personally I've never seen the church promote or condone any kind of action which is evil or hurts others. Some of the views held in Christianity may be seen as outdated and derogatory towards certain commonplace groups in society, but you must remember that the bible was written over 2000 years ago when homosexuality was not seen as it is today, and is interpreted in the wrong way when it is read today, and also women's rights were not accepted so you can't really judge the smaller and supposedly "more important" aspects of the christian faith.
Whittier, your views hold no ground in todays society and you have absolutely NO backing to your views, so "go sit in your tower" to quote Jack Black.

Whittier, it may seem that God has abandoned you, but he will never leave you. If you think everything bad has happened to you, I urge you to read Job. It is one of the most encouraging books of the Bible when you are enduring tough times and as you will see, Job's entire life caved in on him (he lost his livestock, his fields, his sons, pretty much everything) yet he still maintained his faith. Because of his faith, God richly blessed him beyond anything he had imagined before. "The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first." - Job 42:12
Maintaining faith through hard times is the hardest thing to do as a Christian, yet we are called to be ever faithful, and "press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." - Phillipians 3:14. The bible tells us we will suffer in this life, but it also says "we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." - 2 Corinthians 4:18. The suffering we endure on Earth is short lived and is worth eternal happiness. Also, noone here on earth has lived a perfect life, we have all fallen short of God's commands. Sure, some people live more in accordance with the commandments than others, but good works will never get anyone to heaven. That is why Christ came to live the only perfect life and sacrifice himself so we can live eternally. No matter how good you are, you will never reach heaven but by the grace of God. That is all there is to it. We are not perfect. We can't be. But if we will just accept the gift God has given us through Jesus, we will receive eternal life.
As far as christians being the root of all evil, most christians are in fact trying to fight off what we believe are the evils of this world, things that draw people away from God. True, there have been times in history and even places in the world today where christians did some very evil things when trying to force their religion on people. But not all christians are like that, and most christians will not try to force christianity onto anyone. However, we are called to spread God's love and teachings throughout the world. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:8. We are not called to force it upon people, but to be living examples. Most christians fail to live up to this calling. But God forgives us because we are mortal and are not perfect. We are also called to forgive one another. To forgive christians who do not live according to their faith. To forgive all people, including christians, for the evil they have done. You are correct that christians are evil. All people are evil. But christians are saved despite our sins.

I'm glad you have something (religion) but it's not for me, I don't believe in 'Gods' or heavens and hells....much the same as I don't believe in Santa or the Tooth fairy.

I'd encourage every Christian to think on the possibility of your God not existing....after all, you are always saying that we non believers should try and accept that he does exist......middle ground anyone?

I had an interesting thought the other night while having a spliff wih my mate.

lets assume for a second that God / Jesus / The holy ghost or whatever does exist (he doesn't but lets assume he does)......now apparently we were all created in 'Gods Image' - every single one of us.

So based on that idea.....would it not be reasonable to expect that those amongst us who do not believe would not be denied heaven because if we are made in his own image then some of us must have been made not believing in God for a reason.

Not that he does exist mind!! I'm happy for everyone to have their belief, as long as no one expects me to share it.
