Wow, that's a real specific statement. Was he from a tabloid such as the Sun or the Hate Mail? Was he from a broadsheet such as the Guardian or Independent? Was he from the BBC? Channel 4?
And ya'know, if he's not from a tabloid he could have evidence to back up a statement like that.
