WWE EDITED THE SHOT OF A MAN KISSING A WOMAN

There were a couple of edits to RAW in the UK this week one understandable, one not. The spot where Jerry Lawler plugged the Divas magazine was cut due to the Ofcom ruling about product placement and advertising within entertainment shows. Instead we cut straight to Stacy Keibler's entrance. The other edit, was the Kane/Lita kiss. This was shown from the hard camera angle and not in close up, as the scene was shown in the US, so the shot of Kane's back was blocking the view. You read that right: WWE EDITED THE SHOT OF A MAN KISSING A WOMAN!!! Like we've never seen a kiss on UK TV before.

Hey WWE, The British can handle that!

The British allow nudity on television, I think they can handle a kiss.

Ironic how, even with freedom of speech, people get so worked up about a bare nipple on television in the U.S.

they weren't just editing out a man kissing a woman. They were editing out part of a sexual harassment scene

Free Speech in America doesn't apply to:

Clear and Present Danger,
Obscenity,
Defamation,
Fighting Words, and
Expression Plus

That it doesn't, as the current laws stand. I just think it's rather silly to have those laws in place in relation to nudity on television, and yet be so lax on something like violence (no, I am not advocating censorship of violence).

Eh, it's all perception, and I guess most people would rather have their kids see people get shot than have boobs on TV.

I would personally love a show with all boobs and guns, but I wouldn't want my kids watching it.

It is more than a bit ridiculous that we're so anal about sex which is completely natural (and which most of our children are woefully ignorant about), and yet we see nothing wrong with images of people being shot and killed, a decidedly unnatural event.

And God forbid that there be a curse word uttered on television. The horror! The horror!

Some of the conservatives on the board here give me grief because I use rough language. I figure, I heard it by the time I was on the playground in 4th grade. If there's anyone on this board who hasn't reached that point yet, then I imagine they're a pretty mature 4th grader and can handle the occasional "shit" or "damn."

You know, that's what you get for watching pro wrestling. One can only expect to be dissapointed.
